President’s Whinny
Hi All,
Well done all who contributed their time and expertise for a most successful Summer
Solstice Weekend. Not only did the committee members do a great job, but the riders
fronted up and did their duty. The standard of riding was high at all levels and the
overwhelming feeling was of a harmonious rider/horse relationship and a good atmosphere
all around.
Now it is on with the job of taking the judges’ comments to heart and continuing the
training. We have excellent coaches in Albany and Denmark and also the opportunity for
visiting instructors. Don’t hold back! The music festival at the end of May will be all too soon
so start listening for some music to go with your horse and tell a story in your freestyle.
Happy Riding,
Virginia
Southern Solstice Wrap
Another Southern Solstice under the belt. Even though entry numbers were down on
previous years the standard was of a high quality with competitors coming Perth,
Dowerin and Margaret River.
Congratulations to the respective champions and not to mention that SDDC riders
were able to hold their own again.
See the website for a full rundown of places, championship horse/rider and highpoint
horse and pony.
Again, a big thankyou to all of our sponsors for their continuing support. Don’t forget
to support those who support our events.
