Tsai On November 1, 2014, OCA Westchester & Hudson Valley (OCA-WHV) Chapter will honor three outstanding Asian Americans at its annual Dynamic Achiever Awards Gala. OCA is the preeminent national advocacy organization dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of over 16 million Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in the United States. OCA-WHV is one of the oldest and most active of the OCA’s 100 chapters and affiliates nationwide. For extraordinary contributions to their professions and communities, this year’s Dynamic Achiever Award (DAA) winners are: Judy Cheng-Hopkins, United Nations Assistant Secretary for Peace Building Support; Sookie Lee-Kim, TD Bank Manager of the Scarsdale Branch, and James C. Tsai, M.D., M.B.A., President of The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and the DelafieldRodgers Professor and Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai - Mount Sinai Health System. The winners of the 2014 Student Leadership Award will also be recognized at the DAA Gala. Past DAA awardees include Elaine Chao, the former Secretary of the US Department of Labor, Ang Lee, multiple Academy Award-winning film director, David Ho, M. D., visionary AIDS researcher and 1996 Time Magazine Man of the Year, and Randall T. Eng, Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York.
