TO WOM IT MAY CONCERN, Dear Sir / Madam, RE: FOOD CHARITY FOR 100,000 DEVOTEES DURING THAIPUSAM 2014 Pertubuhan Sri Agathiar Sanmarka Gurukulam Malaysia (PSASGM) is once again organising the Food Charity for 100,000 Devotees for the 19th time consecutively on the 16th and 17th January 2014. In conjunction with the annual Thaipusam festival, Hot meals will be served non-stop in a marathon session beginning 12:00pm on January 16th 2014 until midnight the following day 17-01-2014. Approximately 100,000 devotees will be served free food and drinks prepared on the site by 1,000 volunteers and members. Every year we face difficulty in collecting sufficient fund to run the project. This could be attributed due to the fact that the permit to collect is only obtained in the last 1 or 2 months before the project date and during this period most organisations would be closed due to holidays or families on vacation leave. Being an NGO and a charitable organisation, we are solely dependent on the goodwill of general public for our sustenance and to carry out these projects smoothly. As such we would be very grateful if you could sponsor either in cash or kind towards this project. We believe with kind support and contributions from generous and kind-hearted souls like you, noble undertakings such as this can be carried out without any hitches.
