COURSE CONTENT ABOUT THE COLLEGE The College is the brainchild of the Bharata Jyothi Dr. Ravuri Venkataswamy renowned philanthropist. The college is established in 1998 and present intake is 840. The college is affiliated to JNTU Anantapur, approved by AICTE, and accredited by NBA of AICTE and ’NAAC’ Bengaluru. The college offers Under Graduate Programme in Six Engineering branches and Six Post Graduate courses. The college is situated on Tirupathi – Chittoor Highway. Chittoor is well connected by Rail and Road. The places of interest nearby are Tirupathi, Kanipakam and Sripuram (Golden Temple) ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The department of Mechanical Engineering is started in 1998. The present intake is 240. The department has excellent infrastructure facilities, laboratories and faculty. Also the department offers PG program in CAD/CAM. The department has received MODOROBS from AICTE for the HT, TE, PT & CAD/CAM Labs. The department also received a research project from department of Science and Technology. We received two seminar grants from AICTE ABOUT THE WORKSHOP Engineering drawing is said to be the language of engineers and it can be considered as a powerful tool to convey ones ideas effectively. Given the part drawings, an assembly of a machine component can be easily made by understanding the working principle of it. Especially, the engineers involved in manufacturing and in assembly line of the components should possess the knowledge of the assembly. OBJECTIVES 1. To create awareness about the software Solid Works 2013 2. To understand the step by step procedure involved in preparing orthographic views of a machine component 3. To prepare final assembly making use of various part drawing and visualize the appearance of the assembled components viewing it through various angles 4.
