Your child will bring home the information to take part in the project and the artwork will be set as a piece of homework. Your child’s design will be reproduced in full colour Christmas cards available in packs of 12, with a choice of greetings or the choice of a blank card, prices starting from £6.00. There are samples to view in the school office. Please remember to return your child’s design to school by 29th September 2014 with payment either cash or cheque, made payable to Jackfield Infant School. Please note that all artwork must be on an A4 sheet of paper and must be free of glitter, sequins or anything shiny. he Fun Clubs for the Autumn Term begin on Monday 22nd September. All of the children have had a letter to take home with the lists of club members. Where attendance is poor and lates are frequent there will be involvement from the Educational Welfare Officer and our Home School Link Worker, Mrs Bromage, who will offer support and guidance aimed at ensuring our children have an attendance rate of at least 95%. It is quite safe to leave it in school and take it home to launder at the weekend or even at half term. Year 1—Reminder Year one children will visit the PE Centre every alternate Friday. Year 1H will visit on Friday 26th September. 50p Class Donations Year 2 Swimming For many years parents have regularly donated 50p to the child’s class to support class activities. The children are involved in monitoring the income and expenditure of the ‘Class Bank’! We value this contribution immensely. If you can make a contribution please send it to school with your child in a purse or envelope clearly marked—50p donation. Reminder—All of Year 2 will be visiting the swimming pool at New Horizons Academy, beginning Tuesday 23rd September. We ask that parents ensure that their child brings their swimming kit to school including a swimming cap, which can be purchased from the school office price £1.50. We ask for a donation of £2.00 per child each week to help contribute to the cost of the swimming sessions. Sports Coaches in School - ASM Ltd Throughout the year sports coaches will be working with each class for two half terms. Each class will have a qualified coach working with their teacher for one games or gymnastics topic and one dance topic. This is a fantastic opportunity for the children to work with trained sports professionals.
