Within the Technical Division, the department MRO Services Management is responsible for all 3rd party contracted MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) services on the airframe, engines and main aircraft components. The department has the commercial responsibility for the strategic and operational business to ensure the airline obtains value for money at a defined level of quality based on the contractual agreements. In the upcoming years SWISS will replace its Airbus A340-300 and Avro RJ100 fleets with new Boeing B777-300ER and Bombardier CSeries aircraft. To support the department with these fleet changes and the adaptation of the MRO Services portfolio, we are looking for an experienced MRO Services Manager. Your Duties ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Work together with other departments within the Technical Division to collect, verify, bundle and optimize demand for future MRO Services against budget and long term plan Request quotations for required work scopes within available frame agreements or ad-hoc maintenance agreements Detailed review of quotations issued by the MRO Services suppliers for correctness and in line with available agreements Initiate purchase order creation with required information, obtain order approval, release of purchase orders to the MRO Services suppliers and order follow-up; Ensure correct booking of the purchase order into the respective IT systems Monitor performance achievement of contracted work according to applicable regulations and Service Level Agreements (SLA), corrective actions are defined and initiated in case of deviation Ensure right interfaces and joint procedures between SWISS and MRO Services suppliers are used or amended where required Regular update and compare the as-is situation with the agreed MRO Services budget and plan, develop counter measures on demand Review invoices of performed work, close follow-up on all invoiced services Development and improvement of methods and guidelines for MRO Services management; participate in the continuous improvement process ● via Kaizen workshops Supporting the respective MRO Services Procurement Managers with technical justification as required Requirements ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering with further education in Business Administration, vice versa or equivalent At least 5 years of experience in a technical division in the aviation sector (maintenance organization of an airline or MRO) At least 3 years of experience in managing MRO Services Technical expertise, knowledge and experience with components, materials and systems of the relevant aircraft types Problem solving skills with a deep understanding of the MRO market and its business processes Fluent in English, written and spoken, German knowledge is an advantage AMOS experience is an advantage, proficient in the use of MS Office Suite Self-dependence with a pro-active attitude driving for results and solutions Experienced in relationship management Experienced in methods and instruments of data management and data analysis Skilled communicator and strong team player with distinctive social skills Employment Level: 80 - 100 % Workplace: Zurich Starting Date: Upon agreement Application Deadline: June 19, 2016 We are looking forward to receiving your application in English.
