The Power plant Engineering is responsible for the definition of technical
standards and configuration for engines and auxiliary power units (APU)
serving the SWISS short- and long-haul fleets. Its prime focus is to set up and
maintain a safe, airworthy and reliable operation of all power plants in line with
regulatory requirements, manufacturer’s recommendations and on a costeffective base. Within this motivated group of peers you will be responsible for
a dedicated power plant type to ensure its reliable and cost-effective operation
in concert with your SWISS stakeholders (Maintenance, Planning, Operations,
Commercial services).As a team player with an affinity for continuous
improvement you strive to ameliorate our products, standards and processes
with optimization efforts.
Your Duties

Ensures compliance of aircraft systems and related components with
continuing airworthiness requirements issued by TC holder and
Airworthiness Authorities
Assesses and/or defines maintenance requirements and instructions for
Continued Airworthiness applicable to the SWISS fleet, monitors their
implementation and triggers adequate technical response actions
Monitors aircraft systems' data for trending purposes and defines adequate
response actions
Monitors and analyzes reliability trends and proposes adequate response
actions
Provides maintenance standards and procedures in close cooperation with
Maintenance and Quality Departments
Defines modification and repair standard, monitors and updates fleet
modification and repair status
Provides recommendations for improvement and development of technical
and process standards?
Requirements

Apprenticeship and HF degree, Bachelor or Master degree in
Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Basic knowledge of economics and business administration

Minimum of three years in similar function on Expert level or in an equivalent
position
Basic knowledge of engine systems?
Self-Management skills (individual workload/capacity planning)
Fluent in German and English, written and verbal
Process orientation
Strong analytical skills
Decision making skills
Verbal and written communication adapted? to target audience
Rapid acquaintance with complex IT and EDP systems landscape
Proficiency in use of MS Office EDP applications
