Cross-modal integration for perception in human: from basic science to application in daily life
(仮題)ヒトの多感覚統合の仕組み：基礎研究から日常へ
Professor Charles Spence is the head of the Cross-modal Research Laboratory in
University of Oxford. His research focuses on how a better understanding of the human
mind will lead to the better design of multisensory foods, products, interfaces, and
environments in the future. His research calls for a radical new way of examining and
understanding the senses that has major implications for the way in which we design
everything in our daily life. He has published over 500 articles in top-flight scientific
journals over the last 15 years. Charles has been awarded a number of prizes.

先生は人間の心の働きをよく知ることが，よりよい食品，製品，ユーザーインターフェー
スの開発・改良に将来的につながっていく，というスタンスで日々の研究を行っておられ，
っています．この 15 年間に 500 本ほどの論文と数々の受賞歴をお持ちです．
また日常のあらゆる製品のデザインのベースになっている感覚認知機構に斬新な方法で迫
