Background file loaders, running the world node graph, debugging menus, and viewers and profiling routines are just some of the essential responsibilities of any Game Engine Programmer. With mounting commercial pressures to increase the re-use of software development effort, the Engine Programmer will find themselves working in the central "Core Team" on the game engine shared between multiple game development projects.
