Modul 1: The Sound oy YOUrope
Multipliers Seminar on International Human Rights education
St. Andreasberg, Germany
The focus in this seminar is the empowerment of young volunteers, (prostpecting) youth workers or (prostpecting) educational
staff for and through Human Rights. Current political situations and debates, especially regarding migration and refugee situation,
make it more than ever necessary to enhance human rights values, view points and activism - contributing to a more just and
inclusive global society. This seminar aims to enable young persons to take a critical role in crucial up-to-date questions and actively
shaping their everyday environment. The participants will get to know methods of out of school education focussed on human
rights related topics in Europe and the participating countries. We will work on basics of seminar conception and –implementation
especially for international projects. After this week the participants are ready to start with elaborating workshops or activities on
human rights education or parts of it, or with networking and implementing small projects or campaigns.
Date: September 11-18 2016
Place: International House Sonnenberg
Target group: 2 persons from each organisation who (already working/volunteering there or being interested in taking
more active roles in their organisations, organising workshops on human right, etc.
Age: 18-26
Requirements: advanced english skills needed (fluently!)
Participation fee: 150,- Euro p.P. (includes board and lodging, House F -> up to 3 persons each room) to be payed in

Reimbursement of travel costs: The travel costs will (partly) be reimbursed by the Erasmus+ program, the maximum
amount depends on the distance and on the type of activity.
Croatia, Turkey, Italy, Belarus: up to 275,- € / per person
Tunisia: up to 360,- € / per person
! Travel Costs will be reimbursed after we received one bankaccount per organisation and the tickets (including
boarding pass when indicated) via mail after the seminar (insured letter recommended!)
Shuttle from Bad Harzburg: leaves at 4.20 pm

Modul 2: The Sound of YOUrope
Youthmeeting on Music and Human Rights
St. Andreasberg/Germany
50 young immigrated and not immigrated people from 5 countries meet in the Harz Mountains to make music and
discuss their own ideas and questions about migration in Europe and in the countries they live in. Based on questions
the participants bring, we will build multinational groups to work on different aspects of the main topic. Central
question to find these aspects will be: “What would be needed to make Europe YOUrope?”
Supported by experienced youth leader the groups will gain knowledge about the topics they are interested in (for
example EU-foreign policy, situation of refugees in the participation countries, freedom of movement, protection of
minorities in EU…), develop ideas to exert influence, exchange about their individual and national living conditions,
empower each other and experience solidarity among the participants from all over Europe.
Moreover they will get the chance to work on their creative skills and creative way to express themselves in
workshops on sound and music like Hip-Hop, creative writing, how to create your own Radio show, songwriting etc.
Considering the question: “How should YOUrope sound” music and its power to connect people and as a means of
expression will be a central aspect of the youthmeeting.
Date: 13.-20.11.2016
Place: International House Sonnenberg
Target group: 8 young immigrated and not immigrated people from each organisation who are interested in the
seminar topic plus one group leader from each country
Requirements: age betwee 15 and 21, basic english skills needed
Participation fee:
Germany: 210,- €
Italy, Belarus, Tunisia, Turkey: 170,- €
Croatia: 140,- €
per person, 1 youthleader each group free of charge
