②上記の専門分野について研究上の業績を有し，学部の教育・研究指導に意欲と熱
意のある方．
（併任の都市工学科ではコース制を導入しており，都市環境基盤コー
ス並びに建築・都市デザインコースを開設しています．土木・建築両分野関連の
教育に取り組んで頂ける方が望ましい．

③社会貢献・地域貢献および国際交流に意欲がある方．
④大学，大学院の運営に対して充分な熱意と遂行能力がある方．
⑤国籍は問わないが，学部生に対して日本語で教育が出来る方．

一次選考：書類選考
二次選考：面接・プレゼンテーション（一次選考合格者に対して行います）

Open Advertisement for a Faculty Position of Assistant Professor
in the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Saga University
1. Outline
The Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Graduate School of Science and
Engineering, Saga University, invites applicants for a full-time assistant professor.
The Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Saga University covers the area of advanced
science, engineering and art such as structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, construction
materials and maintenance management system, disaster prevention, water environmental system,
community and city planning, urban design, architectural environment and others relating to
citizenship. The department has a close relationship with the Institute of Lowland and Marine Research,
Saga University as well.
The educational programs in the department are systematically provided to approximately 80
graduate students including Ph.D. students and 400 undergraduate students, respectively. The latest
engineering issues and topics are well blended into the civil engineering and architecture expert areas
in the programs. The department offers academic degree programs at Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D.
levels.

2. Position: Assistant Professor
3. Research field: Structural Engineering and Mechanics (Structural Material Engineering,
Maintenance and Management Engineering)
4. Qualifications:
Applicants are required to have or will have a doctoral degree or Ph.D. by the end of March 2015
and have experiences in the above research field.
5. Language for education:
Japanese language (reading, writing, listening and speaking) must be used for teaching the
undergraduate levels.
6. Deadline for application: February 9, 2015.
7. Commencing date of the job: As soon as possible on or after April l, 2015

(2) List of academic publications.
(3) Reprints or copies of three main publications.
(4) Summary of researches that the applicant has done and will develop in the future.
