東京国際交流館への入居を希望する留学生のみなさんへ
このたび東京大学では、東京国際交流館の借り上げ居室の空室への入居を優先しての一
般枠(推薦方式)への入居申請を受け付けることとしました。
入居を希望する場合は、以下に記した必要書類を募集期間内に提出してください。
なお、単身室 A 棟への入居申請については、本部において提出書類を審査の上、借上げ
居室に配置するか、一般枠(推薦方式)へ推薦するかを決定しますので、予めご了承くだ
さい。
1.募集居室と料金
①借り上げ居室 A 棟(若干数)
*借り上げ居室に配置された場合は、入居確実
*インターネット契約済み、レンタルリネン契約済み
入館費: 35,000 円 (一ヶ月分)
家賃: 35,000 円 /一ヶ月
管理費: 5,500 円/一ヶ月
*インターネット、レンタルリネン料金込み
光熱水道料:実費
②一般枠(推薦方式)
*一般枠(推薦方式)は申請しても入居できない場合有
*インターネットは各自で契約が必要、レンタルリネンも各自で契約が必要


単身用 B 棟(30 ㎡)
入館費: 45,000 円 (一ヶ月分)

2.入居開始時期と期間
①借り上げ居室
平成 24 年 12 月上旬から入居可能で平成 26 年 3 月 25 日までに退去すること。
※
平成 26 年 3 月 25 日以降の延長はできません。
※
入居許可期間内でも休学,退学する場合はその日以前に退館となります。
※
過去に東京国際交流館等独立法人日本学生支援機構が運営する宿舎に入居歴の
ある者は通算で 2 年以内になります。
②一般枠(推薦方式)
平成 24 年 12 月 10 日から平成 25 年 1 月 31 日までに入居可能で平成 26 年 3 月 20 日
までに退去すること。

平成 26 年 3 月 20 日以降の延長はできません。
※
入居許可期間内でも休学,退学する場合はその日以前に退館となります。
※
過去に東京国際交流館等独立法人日本学生支援機構が運営する宿舎に入居歴の
ある者は通算で 2 年以内になります。
3.応募資格
本学に在籍する在留資格「留学」を有する者(研究生を含む)

(2)様式 3 「東京国際交流館における交流活動実施・参加計画書」
(3)学生証の写し
(4)旅券の写しの顔写真と査証のページ(同居人がいる場合は同居人の分も含む)
(5)外国人登録証明書もしくは在留カードの写しの両面(同居人がいる場合は同居
人の分も含む)
<該当者のみ>
(6)留年,最短修業年限を超える入居期間を希望する者は「修学計画書(A4 版,様
式自由)」および指導教員による「留年,最短修業年限を超える旨の意見書」
(7)同居人がいる場合(婦室 C 棟、家族室 D 棟を希望する者)は同居人と申請者
との続柄がわかる書類(写)

To International Students who wish to live in
the Tokyo International Exchange Center (TIEC) Residence Hall
The University of Tokyo is accepting application for TIEC Residence Hall rooms (from
here on referred as Residence Hall) including a number of rooms that Todai have to
sub-let (from here on referred as sub-let rooms).
Students who wish to live in Residence Hall rooms are required to submit documents
specified below during the set application period.
Please note that the University will initially select from all the applications to fill the
sub-let rooms in Residence Hall A (unmarried quarters) before submitting the
remaining applications for general selection rooms in Residence Hall A (based on
recommendation from the University of Tokyo). Please note that the selection process
for the general selections rooms is carried out by TIEC and not the University of Tokyo.
1. Type of room and rent.
①
Sub-let room (Several rooms in Residence Hall A are leased from TIEC by Todai.
The number of rooms available is limited)
When a student is allocated a sub-let room, the room is guaranteed but

may not be changed for another. It is possible to cancel the application.
The University has signed agreements already to provide internet access

and lease of bedding for these rooms.
Entrance fee: JPY 35,000 (equal to one month’s rent)
Rent: JPY 35,000 (monthly)
Administrative maintenance fee: JPY 5,500 (monthly)

Monthly rent includes the internet access charges and bedding lease
fees.
Please note that the rent does not include utility charges and
telephone charges. Actual expenses will need to be paid for
individually.
②
General selection rooms (based on recommendation from the University)

As the final selection is made by TIEC, the receipt of application by the
University does not guarantee allocation of rooms

Internet connection services and lease of bedding must be done by the
individual students.
Residence Hall A (unmarried quarters) (20m2)
Entrance fee: JPY 35,000 (equal to one month’s rent)
Rent: JPY 35,000 (monthly)
Utility, telephone and internet access charges and cost of lease of
bedding must be paid by the individual students
Residence Hall B (unmarried quarters) (30m2)
Entrance fee: JPY 45,000 (equal to one month’s rent)
Rent: JPY 45,000 (monthly)
Utility, telephone and internet access charges and cost of lease of
bedding must be paid by the individual students
Residence Hall C (married quarters for couples)
Entrance fee: JPY 65,000 (equal to one month’s rent)
Rent: JPY 65,000 (monthly)
Utility, telephone and internet access charges and cost of lease of
bedding must be paid by the individual students
Residence Hall D (family quarters)
Entrance fee: JPY 75,000 (equal to one month’s rent)
Rent: JPY 75,000 (monthly)
Utility, telephone and internet access charges and cost of lease of
bedding must be paid by the individual students
2. Move-in date and Period of Stay
① Sub-let rooms
A student may move into the sub-let rooms from the beginning of December
2012 and are required to vacate the premises before March 25, 2014

If the student (tenant) takes a leave of absence or withdraws from the
University they will be required to vacate the premises immediately even
before their period of stay ends.

If a student has lived in accommodations (or lodges) operated by
JASSO before, including TIEC, then the total length of the period of
stay, including all the other occupancy periods, will be less than two
(2) years.
② General Selection Rooms
Students may move into the rooms between December 10, 2012 and January 31,
2013 and are required to vacate the premises before March 20, 2014.

If the student (tenant) takes a leave of absence or withdraws from the
University they will be required to vacate the premises immediately even
before their period of stay ends.

If a student has lived in accommodations (or lodges) operated by
JASSO before, including TIEC, then the total length of the period of

3. Eligibility for application
International students who have enrolled in the University of Tokyo with the status
of residence of “Student” (this includes research students).
4. Required Documents
All Applicants
(1) From 1-1(1)(2) “Application for TIEC” (for international students)
(2) Form 3 “Proposal for implementation/participation of exchange activities at
TIEC”
(3) Copy of Student ID card
(4) Copy of passport showing the ID photo and landing permit or visa (copies for
spouse or children are also required at the time of submission if you wish for
them to live with you).
(5) A copy of both sides of your Alien Registration card or Residence card (copies for
spouse or children are also required at the time of submission if you wish for
them to live with you).
For Applicable Persons Only
(6) If a student wishes to continue to live in a room as they are repeating a year or
must extend the minimum period to graduation, the student is required to
submit a completion plan of study (A4 sheet, no specific format is require) and a
letter issued by their supervisor indicating his or her consent for repeating the
year or extending the period of study.
(7) When a student wishes to live with his or her family members or relatives, the
applicant is required to submit a document which certifies the relation with such
a person (copy is acceptable).
