INTRODUCTION
Amplificazioni senza compromessi ! La nuova serie di finali
Symbol si articola in due modelli basati su una filosofia
progettualesenza compromessi e con potenze di impiego di 1500
e 2400Wattstereofonici (2ohm).
Tutte le variefasi del progetto sono state orientate all’ottenimento
delle massime prestazioni finali per offrire un’amplificazione
senza compromessi anche incondizioniestreme.
Nullaè stato risparmiato: la scelta dei circuiti Cascode, stadi finali
sovradimensionati, impiego di tecniche ad alta efficienza quali
l’alimentazione a 2 e 3 step, elevatissima capacità di erogazione
dellacorrente...
La grande qualità sonora dei finali, la consueta garanzia ed
affidabilità dei prodotti FBT e la ricca dotazione tecnica del
progetto Symbol pongono ifinali Symbol 12000 e Symbol18000
al vertice della loro categoria confermando, ancora una volta,
l’obiettivo FBT di offrire lasoluzionead ogni amplificazioneaudio.
Here are the “no-compromise” power amplifiers ! The new
Symbol Power Amplifier series features two models based on a
project design targeted to obtain the most appropriate technical
solutions to each and every need of signal amplification. The
Symbol 12000 and the Symbol 16000 grant stereopoweroutput
ofrespectively 1500Wand2400 W perchannel (into2ohm).
All the steps followed for this project have been directed to the
achievement of the maximum performance at every stage of
application: nothing has been saved from this “mission”! The
application of Cascode circuits, of over-dimensioned final stages,
of highly efficient techniquessuch as the use of power supply at 2
or 3 steps and the highest capacity of electricitydistribution.... The
great qualityof theseamplifiers guaranteedby the traditional FBT
reliability and the rich equipment of technical features, place the

- Leggete il presente manuale con attenzione e seguite queste

- Non collegate mai nessun canale d'uscita con altri canali
d'ingresso, nè tantomeno le uscite di potenza CH1 OUT/CH2
OUTconalcunapresadiversa dall'ingresso presentesuidiffusori.
- Non collegate mai nessuna presa audio dell'amplificatore con
unaqualsiasifonte dienergiaelettrica.
- In caso di cattivo funzionamento di qualsiasi dispositivo del
sistema affidatevi al più vicino centro di assistenza FBT o ad un
centro specializzato,evitando diprovvedere personalmente.

- Do not use solvents such as acetone or alcohol to clean the

- Do not connect output channels to input channels of other
appliances and do not connect the CH1 OUT/CH2 OUT power
outputs to any load other than the relative input connector on the
loudspeakers.
- Do not connect audio inputs to electrical power sources of any
type.
- If a fault occurs, consult your nearest FBT service centre or a
specialized audio equipment repair service. Do not attempt to
repairthe amplifieryourself.

UNPACKING
Sebbene tutti i prodotti FBT siano scrupolosamente ispezionati e
collaudati prima che vengano spediti, potrebbero verificarsi dei danni
durante il trasporto: pertanto al momento dell’apertura dell’imballo, fare
attenzione a qualsiasi danno visibile. Se viene riscontrato un danno,

Dual-colour LED: green indicates that the relative
channel can operate correctly; red indicates that a
protection has tripped and the channel is on standby.
Protectionsmay tripforthefollowingreasons:
a) overheating: in this case the amplifier will resume
normal operation after a briefinterruption for cooling purposes; at
this point the LED changes from red to green, confirming that
normal operating status of the Symbol power amplifier has been
restored.
b) in the case of a fault the LED willremain red permanently and
theamplifier must betaken toaservicecentre.
When the system is powered on the LED shows a red light for a
few seconds, confirming activation of the automatic function
protectingtheloudspeakers from power surgesatstart-up.

LED bicolore: quando è verde indica che il canale
corrispondente può funzionare correttamente; il rosso
indica l’intervento dellaprotezione che poneil canale in
standby. Questo può accadere per una delle seguenti
ragioni:
a) l’amplificatore si è surriscaldato: in questo caso la normale
funzione operativa riprende dopo un breve periodo, necessario
per il raffreddamento; a questo punto il colore del led passerà al
verde, indicando che la funzione normale e la condizione
operativadelSymbol sono state ripristinate.
b) nel caso di rottura dell’amplificatore (il led rimane
costantemente rosso; pertanto è necessariorivolgersi al centro di
assistenza.
Al momento dell’accensione del sistema il led diventa rosso per
alcuni secondi, come protezione automatica dei diffusori dai
transientiprodotti dall’arrivo dell’alimentazione.

INSTALLATION
Il SYMBOL è progettato per essere montato a rack
(occorrono 2 unità standard da 19“ di larghezza
(482.6mm), ed è fornito di 4 fori di fissaggio sul pannello
frontale.
Nella parte posteriore sono situati i due perni (A) per
l’appoggionelcontenitorerack.
L’amplificatore è fornito di due ventole di raffreddamento a
velocità variabile in funzione della temperatura.
Per avere un modo operativo efficiente assicurarsi sempre
che le uscite dell’aria sul pannello posteriore non siano
ostruite.
Quando è possibile evitare di installare l’amplificatore in
luoghi soggetti a radiazioni solari o ad alte temperature, in
prossimità di zone polverose o luoghi soggetti a forte
umidità.
SYMBOL amplifiers are designed for rack mounting (two
standard 19" rack spaces) andare supplied with four fixing
holes on the frontpanelflanges.
Therear panel features two pins (A) designed to engage in
therack.
Theamplifier is equippedwith two cooling fans operating at
variable speed inrelationto thetemperature.
For efficient operation of the amplifier, ensure that the rear
panel air expulsion grillesare unobstructed.
If possible, do not install the amplifier in places subject to
direct sunlight, high temperatures, high levels of dust or
humidity.

Prima di collegare qualsiasi apparecchio all’amplificatore
accertarsi che questo sia spento e che la tensione di
alimentazione sia corretta e corrisponda a quella dichiarata
sul pannello posteriore d el SYMBOL.
Assicurarsi che i controlli di volume siano abbassati per
prevenire possibili danni aglialtoparlanti.
Assicurarsi, inoltre, che ilmodo operativo dell’amplificatore
sia nella posizione richiesta: in STEREO, oppure in
PARALLELO o in BRIDGE.
Before connecting any other equipment, ensure that the
amplifier is powered off and that the power supply data
corresponds to the specifications on the rear panel of the
SYMBOL power amplifier.

Quando si dispone di un segnale stereofonico da amplificare è
opportuno utilizzare il modo STEREO,selezionabile sul pannello
posteriore. I due segnali (canale sinistro e canale destro) d evono
essere portati rispettivamente sull’INPUT1 e l’INPUT2
dell’amplificatore. In tal modo il segnale verrà amplificato in
stereofonia e indirizzato alle uscite OUT1 e OUT2 con una
potenzasonora bilanciabile graziealleduemanopoledi livello.

on the rear panel. The left hand and right hand channel signals
must be connected to the amplifier INPUT1 and INPUT2

Quando si dispone di un segnale da amplificare
monofonicamente, è opportuno utilizzare il modo PARALLEL,
selezionabile sul pannello posteriore. Il segnale deve essere
portato esclusivamente sull’INPUT1 dell’amplificatore. In tal
modo, lo stesso segnale mono, verrà amplificato su entrambi i
canali audio e sarà presente alle uscite OUT1 e OUT2 con una
potenzasonoradifferenziatagrazie alleduemanopole dilivello.
For mono input signals use PARALLEL mode, selectable on the
rear panel. Mono signals should be connected exclusively to
INPUT1. The mono signal willbe amplified by both channels and
delivered tooutputs OUT1 and OUT2 at a volume that can be set

Quando si dispone di un segnale da amplificare
monofonicamente su una sorgente sonora puntiforme (cioè con
un unico diffusore), si può sfruttare tutta lapotenzaofferta daidue
finali interni selezionando il modo BRIDGE dal pannello
posteriore. Il segnale deve essere portato esclusivamente
sull’INPUT1 dell’amplificatore. In tal modo il segnale sarà
presente all’uscita OUTPUT BRIDGE e verrà amplificato conuna
disponibilitàdipotenzadoppiarispetto al collegamentonormale.
When workingwith a mono input and single loudspeakerline, you
can use the entire power available from the two output stages by
selecting BRIDGE mode on the rear panel. The signal must be
connected exclusively to INPUT1. The signal will be delivered to
the BRIDGE OUTPUT and amplified with double the available
powerwithrespecttothenormal typeofconnection.

TECHNICAL GLOSSARY
Bilanciato e Sbilanciato-Un collegamento si dice bilanciato quando il
segnale vienecondottodaduefili,dettipolo caldo e polofreddo,edauna
calzaschermante. Il polo caldo ha il compito diportareil segnale in fase,
mentre il polo freddo porta lo stesso segnale, ma in opposizione di fase.
Questo accorgimento consente di rendere il segnale in transito immune
dai disturbi elettromagnetici a nche su lunghi tragitti, grazie al fatto che al
momento del raggiungimento del dispositivo ricevente i due segnali
vengono sottratti algebricamentetra loroproducendo unnuovo segnale di
ampiezza doppia e un annullamento dei disturbi intercorsi durante il
tragitto.
Bridge-Letteralmente "ponte", il termine bridge indica quella particolare
configurazione elettrica tra due amplificatori dipotenza che consente di
raddoppiare la potenza erogata su una stessa cassa acustica. In
particolare il "ponte" avviene tra un finale ed il successivo in modo da
fornireaidueamplificatoriunostesso segnale audio ma in opposizione di
fase uno rispetto all'altro. Il diffusore esterno deve essere collegato sui
due terminali positivi di potenza. Alcuni amplificatori stereo prevedono di
sfruttarequestaconfigurazioneinmodofacilitatoedautomatico, mediante
uno switch edun'appositauscitamono.
Massa-Punto di riferimento elettrico per un segnale che circola su un
circuito o suuncavo. La massaassumegeneralmente ilvaloredizerovolt
e viene trasportata dai caviaudiomediante unacalza metallica c he svolge
anche la funzione di schermatura del segnale, ovvero protezione dai
disturbielettromagneticiesterni.
Terra- La terra, in un dispositivo elettrico, è rappresentata da un
collegamentofisico tralepartimetallicheesposteall'utilizzatoreeuncavo
presente nella spina di alimentazione (il contatto centrale). Mediante la
rete elettrica domestica,ilfiloditerra(individuabiledalcoloregiallo/verde)
è collegato ad una punta metallica conficcata nel terreno, spesso nel
sottosuolodell'edificiostesso.
Lo s copo dell'impiantoditerraèquellodiinviareedisperderenel terreno le
eventuali correnti che potrebbero, in casodiguasti,folgorare l'utilizzatore
a contatto con parti metalliche del dispositivo. Questa dispersione di
energia vienetalvoltautilizzataanche per dissipare eventuali ronzii audio,
scopo raggiungibile mediante un collegamento capacitivo tra la terra e la
massa o addirittura con uncollegamentofisico.
THD-Total Harmonic Distortion, ovvero distorsione armonica totale.
Questo parametro indica il rapporto tra il valore efficace delle armoniche
spurie generate dal sistema in questione e il valore efficace della
sinusoide fondamentale usataper il test. Il THD+N è un parametro ancora
piùsignificativo in quanto tiene conto anche del rumore (Noise) generato
dal dispositivo in esame. Il THD viene normalmente espresso in
percentuale.
Tone Burst- Le misure effettuate in laboratorio per verificare le potenze
degli amplificatori non tengono conto delle continue variazioni elettriche
che un segnale audio complesso può avere nel tempo. Oggi le potenze
vengono espresse in watt di picco (per quanto riguarda la risposta di un
finale su brevissimi transitori), watt musicali (che indicano la potenza
ipotetica su un segnale sinusoidale stabile) e watt RMS (che misurano la
potenza reale, ma riferita ad un segnale complesso stabile e ripetitivo nel
tempo). La tecnica di misurazione con segnali di Tone Burst è
estremamente significativa in quanto ricrea ciclicamente le possibili
escursioni dinamicheche u n normale segnale audio puòavereneltempo.
Questo sistema garantisce di verificare la qualità e le capacità
dei transistors finali e soprattutto dell'alimentatore contenuto
nell'amplificatorein e same.
Watts RMS- Si tratta di una misura che esprime il valore efficace della
potenza, ovvero il reale valore di potenza che un sistema è in grado di
erogare. RMS (Root Mean Square) sintetizza il metodo matematico che
consente d i calcolarela potenza efficace: radicequadrata del valor medio
della somma dei quadrati delle armoniche contenute nello spettro. I watt
RMS corrispondono esattamente alla metà dei watt musicali e ad un
ottavodeiwattpicco/picco.
Balanced andunbalanced- A connection isbalancedwhenthe signalis
carried b y t wo conductors (hot and cold) andascreeningbraid.Thehotpin
hasthe jobof carrying the in-phase signal, while the cold onecarries the
same signal, but out of phase. This method enables tomake transmitted
signals immune to electromagnetic interference even over long lines,
thanks to the fact that when the two signals reach the receiving device,
they are algebraically subtracted one from the other, producing a new
signal with twice theamplitude and eliminating the interference along its
path.
Bridge- Indicates an electrical configuration of two power amplifiers that
makes it possible to double the output power delivered to a single
loudspeaker line. In this mode the "bridge" connects the two power
amplifierstothesameinputsignalbutwitha180degreereversalinphase.
The loudspeaker isconnected across thetwo positive bindingpostson the
amplifier output. Some amplifiers are able to assume this configuration by
meansofaswitchanddedicatedmonooutput.
Ground - Electrical referencepoint for a signal travelling roundacircuitor
along a cable.Theground generally has a valueofzerovoltsandiscarried
by audio cables b y meansofametalsheathwhich alsohas thefunctionof
screening the signal (i.e. protecting it from external electromagnetic
interference.
Ground - The ground (or earth) in an electrical device is represented by
thephysicalconnectionofthemetalpartsexposed to the user and a cable
in the power plug (the middle pin). By means of the mains power supply,
the ground cable (normally recognizable for its yellow/green colour) is
connected to a metal pole hammered into the ground, often in the
basementofthe building itself.
The aim of the ground system is to disperse in the ground any current
which in the event of faults could electrocute a user when touching the
metal partsof the unit in question. The dispersion of energy is sometimes
alsoused toeliminateanyaudiohum,which can be achievedbymeansof
a capacitive connection between the signal ground and the amplifier
ground, o r even a p hysicalconnection.
THD - Total Harmonic Distortion. This value indicates the relationship
between the effective value of the spurious harmonics generatedbythe
system in question and the effective value of the fundamental sine wave
usedinthetest.THDisnormallyexpressed as a p ercentage.
Tone burst - The measurements carried out in laboratories to test
amplifiers' power don't take into consideration the constant electrical
variations whicha complex audiosignal can have throughtime.Nowadays
power is expressed in peak Watts (as far as the response of an output
stage with extremely brief transients states is concerned), musical Watts
(which indicatethe hypotheticalpower on a stable sinusoidal signal) and
RMS Watts (which measure the real power, but referred to a stable
repetitive complex signal). The measurement technique with Tone Burst
signals is extremely significant as it cyclically recreates the possible
dynamic range which a normal audio signal can have through time. This
system ensures a control of the quality and capacity of the output
transistors and above all of the power supply contained in the amplifier
being tested.
WattsRMS - This is a measurement which expresses theeffective value
ofthepower,i.e.therealamountofpowerwhichasystemisabletodeliver.
RMS (Root Mean Square) is the mathematical method used to calculate
the effective power: thesquare root of the mean(average) of thesum of
the squares of theharmonics contained in the spectrum. The RMS Watts
are exactlyhalfthemusicalWattsandaneighththepeak/peakWatts.

- Faireattention à ne pas renverser de liquides sur l'amplificateur

- Eviter d'installer l'amplificateur à proximité de sources de

- N e p as boucher les prises d'air et l a bouche duventilateur.
- Vérifier que la tension d'alimentation ne dépasse pas la valeur
indiquée sur lepanneau AR.
- Ne jamais utiliser l'appareil si les fiches/prises ne sont pas en
parfaitesconditions (lecaséchéant réparer et/ouremplacer).
- Pour prévenir les parasites induits, éviter d'installer
l'amplificateur à côté des transformateurs d'alimentation, des
appareils TV, des émetteurs RF, des moteurs électriques et de
toute source d'énergieélectrique.
- Pourle nettoyage nepas utiliser desolvantsde typeacétone ou
alcools, qui endommageraient la finition externe et les
sérigraphies des panneaux.
- Ne jamais relier un canal de sortie et un canal d'entrée. Ne
jamais relier les sorties de puissance CH1 OUT/CH2OUT et une
prisequelconquequi ne soit pas l'entréeprévuesur les diffuseurs.
- Ne jamais relier de prise audio de l'amplificateur et une source
d'énergie électrique.
- En cas de fonctionnement défectueux de tout dispositif du
système, contacter le centre d'assistance FBT le plus proche ou
un centre spécialisé, en n'intervenant personnellement en aucun
cas.

Kabel oder der Netzstecker defekt ist (lassen Sie das
entsprechende Teil in diesem Fall zuvor fachgerecht ersetzen
oderreparieren).
- Um Betriebsstörungen des Verstärkers zu vermeiden,
installieren Sie ihn nicht in der Nähevon Trafos, Fernsehgeräten,
HF-Sendern, Elektromotoren oderanderenStromquellen.
- Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung keine Lösungsmittel wie Azeton
oderAlkohol, da siedie Geräteoberfläche und d i e Beschriftungen
aufdemBedienfeldbeschädigen könnten.
- Verbinden Sie unter keinen Umständen einen Ausgangskanal
mit einem Eingangskanal, oder einen der Leistungsausgänge

Cette dernière hypothèse dérive des situations

b) rupture de l'amplificateur (la led reste rouge); dans ce cas
contacterle centred'assistance.
Au moment de l'allumage la led est rouge pendant quelques
secondes pour signaler la protection automatique des diffuseurs
contre lescrêtes quiseproduisent lors dela misesous tension.

keinerlei Betriebsstörungen vor; wenn sie rot leuchtet,
hat die SchutzvorrichtungangesprochenunddenKanal
auf Standby geschaltet. Hierzu kann es aus den
folgenden Gründenkommen:
a) Wenn sich der Verstärker überhitzt hat: In diesem Fall nimmt
das Gerät den normalen Betrieb nach einer kurzen Abkühlphase
wieder auf; die LED leuchtet dann wieder grün undzeigt an, dass
der störungsfreie Betrieb von Symbol wieder aufgenommen
wurde.
b) Bei einem Defekt des Verstärkers (die LED leuchtet in diesem
Falldurchgehend rot; wenden Sie sich a n denKundendienst).
Bei Systemeinschaltung leuchtet die LED einige Sekunden rot
auf, um die Lautsprecher automatisch vor
Transientenspannungen zu schützen, die beim Einschalten der
Stromversorgung entstehen.

un diffuseur acoustique aux deux circuits
d'amplification, en mode BRIDGE. Lediffuseur (ou
un système de diffuseurs reliés entre eux en
série/parallèle) doit avoir une impé
dance minimum de 4 ohm et être en mesure de
supporter une puissance d'au moins 3000W
(Symbol 12000) et 4800W (Symbol 18000).

Mono-Ausgangsbuchse mit Speakon-Verbinder. Ermöglicht den
Anschluss e i n e s Lautsprechers an beide
Verstärkungskreise in der Betriebsart BRIDGE. Der

Le SYMBOL est prévu pour être monté en rack (2 unités
standard de 19“ de largeur (482.6mm), avec 4 orifices de
fixation sur lepanneau frontal.

refroidissement à vitesse variable en fonction de la

Pour un fonctionnement efficace contrôler que les sorties
d'air sur le panneauAR nesont pas bouchées.
Autant que possible, éviter d'installer l'amplificateur dans
des endroits sujets aux radiations solaires ou hautes
températures, à proximitéde zonespoussiéreuses ou lieux
très humides.

En présence d'un signal stéréo à amplifier, sélectionner le mode
STEREO sur le panneau AR. Les 2 signaux (canaux GCHE et
DTE) doivent être placés respectivement sur INPUT1 et INPUT2
de l'amplificateur. De cette façon le signal sera amplifiéenstéréo
et adresséaux sorties OUT1etOUT2avec unepuissance sonore
balancée parlesdeuxboutonsdeniveau.

Balancé et Déséquilibré- Un branchement est balancé lorsque le signal
est conduit pardeuxfils,appeléspôlechaudetpôlefroid,etfournitainsiun
revêtement demaillesquisert deblindage. Le p ôle chaudapour t âche de
porter le signalenphase,tandisque le pôle froid porte cemême signal en
opposition de phase. Le procédé permet, même sur de longs trajets,
d'immuniser le signal en transit contre les dérangements
électromagnétiques. En effet, quand le dispositifrécepteur est atteint, les
deux signaux sont algébriquement soustraits entre eux, ce qui produit un
nouveau signal dedoubleamplitude et uneannulationdesdérangements
quionteulieudurantletrajet.
Bridge- Le terme "bridge" signifie littéralement "pont". Il désigne la
configuration électrique particulière entre deux amplificateurs de
puissance qui permet de doubler la puissance distribuée sur un même
baffleacoustique. Le pont se p roduit notamment entre un finale et le finale
suivant, de manière à fournir aux deux amplificateurs un même signal
audio, mais en opposition de phase l'un par rapport à l'autre. L'enceinte
externe doit être connectée sur les deux bornes positives de puissance.
Certains amplificateurs stéréo prévoient l'exploitation de cette
configuration de manière facilitée et automatique, moyennant un
commutateuret unesortie monoappropriée.
Masse- C'estle point de référenceélectrique d'un signal qui circulesur un
circuit ou sur un câble. La masse prendgénéralement la valeur de zéro
volt; elleest transportée par les câbles audio moyennant un revêtement à
mailles métalliques qui exerce également la fonction de blindage du
signal, c'est-à-dire de protection contre les perturbations
électromagnétiques e xtérieures.
Terre- Dans un dispositif électrique, la terre est représentée par une
connexion physique entre les parties métalliques exposées à l'utilisateur
et uncâble q ui se trouve dans la fiche d'alimentation (le contact central).
Grâce au réseau électrique domestique , le fil deterre (que l'on reconnaît
parsacouleurjaune/verte)est connectéà une pointe métalliqueenfoncée
dans le terrain, le plus souvent dans le sous-sol du bâtiment.Le but de
l'installation de terre e st d'envoyer etdedisperserles courants qui,encas
depanne,pourraientfoudroyerl'utilisateurquiseraitentréencontactavec
les parties m étalliques du dispositif. Cette dispersion d'énergieestparfois
utilisée pour dissiper desbourdonnementsaudio,ce que l'onobtientgrâce
à uneconnexion capacitive entre la terre et la masse ou même a vec une
connexion physique.
Symmetrisch und unsymmetrisch- Man nennt einen Anschluß
symmetrisch, wenn dasSignal vonzweiLeitungen, die "heißer und kalter"
Pol genannt werden, und von einer abschirmenden Kabelumklöpplung
geleitet wird. Der heiße Pol hat die Aufgabe das Signal in Phase zu

werden und so ein doppelt so großes Signal produzieren, wobei die
dazwischenliegenden Störungen auf derStreckebleiben.
Bridge- Wörtlich "Brücke". Der Ausdruck bridge bezeichnet diese
besondere elektrische Gestaltung zwischen zwei Leistungsverstä
rkern,dieeine VerdoppelungderabgegebenenLeistung auf dem gleichen
Lautsprecher erlaubt. Im einzelnen tritt die "Brücke" zwischen einem
Endstadium unddemdarauffolgendemein,um denbeiden Lautsprechern
das gleiche Audiosignal zu liefern; dies geschieht allerdings in
gegensätzlicher Phasedes einen zum anderen.DeräußereLautsprecher
muß an zwei positive Leistungsanschlüsse angeschlossen sein. Einige
Stereoverstärker nutzen diese Gestaltung auf einfache Weise und
automatisch durch einen Switch und einen dafür vorgesehenen
Monoausgangaus.
Masse- Elektrischer Ausgangspunkt eines Signals, das in einem
Schaltkreis oder auf einem Kabel kursiert. Die Masse erreicht im
allgemeinen denWertvonnullVoltundwirdvondenAudiokabelnmitHilfe
eines engen Drahtnetzes weitergeleitet, wobei dieses Drahtnetz auch
eine Schutzfunktion des Signals übernimmt, d. h. sie bildet einen Schutz
gegen äußereelektromagnetischeStörunge n.
Erde- In e inerelektrischen VorrichtungwirddieErdedurcheinephysische
Verbindung der Metallteile, denen der Gebraucher ausgesetzt ist, und
einem Kabel, das sich im Netzstecker (zentraler Steckkontakt) befindet,
dargestellt. Durch das elektrische Hausstromnetz ist die Erdleitung
(erkennbar durch die Farbengelb/ grün) an eine Metallspitze, die sich in
der Erde, im Untergrund des Hauses befindet, angeschlossen. Das Ziel
dieser Erdleitung ist es, die eventuellen Stromflüsse in den Boden
abzuleiten und zu zerstreuen, da diese, im Falle eines Defektes, dem
Gebraucher, der mit den metallischen Teilen des Gerätes in Berührung
kommt, durch einen elektrischen Schlag gefährden könnten.Die
Verschwendung dieser Energie wird auf der anderen Seite zur
Zerstreuung der eventuell auftretenden Brummstörungen genutzt; dies
erreicht man mittels einer kapazitiven Verbindung von der Erde und der
Masse odersogarmiteiner physischenVerbindung.
THD- Total H armonic Distortion, c'est-à-dire distorsionharmoniquetotale.
Ce paramètre indique le rapport entre la valeur efficace des fausses
harmoniques générées par le système enquestion et la v aleur efficace de
la sinusoïde fondamentale utilisée pour le test. Le THD+N est un
paramètre encore plus significatif dans la mesure o ù il

THD- Total Harmonic Distortion, daß heißt komplette Wellenverzerrung.
Dieser Parameter gibt das Verhältnis zwischen dem Nennwert der

benutzt wird. Der THD+N ist in dieser Hinsicht ein umso wichtigerer
Parameter, da er auch das Rauschen (Noise), das von dem
entsprechenden Apparat erzeugt wird, berücksichtigt. Die THD wird
normalerweiseinProzentenangegeben.
