Van Schools tot Scriptie (II) a colloquium on language teaching in higher education Friday 4 July & Saturday 5 July 2014 Leiden University The University of Leiden will be organizing the second edition of the “Van Schools tot Scriptie” colloquium. This colloquium deals with the latest trends in language teaching in higher education in The Netherlands and Flanders. The aim is to exchange ideas, experiences and information, and to learn from each other. CALL FOR PAPERS Professionals who are active in the field (and teachers in particular) are urged to send us an abstract of a possible presentation of one of the four themes of the colloquium.  Didactics  Recent research  The position of certain languages in the field  Language acquisition as a professional area More information on each of these themes can be found on our website. Both English and Dutch presentations are possible, and each presentation lasts 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for questions and comments.. Please send your abstracts (140-160 words) to [email protected] before 15 March 2014. The organizing committee will decide on the suitability of the suggested presentations before May 2014. If you have any questions about the presentations and how to go about them, or whether a certain topic or demonstration is suitable, then please let us know.
