The successful candidate is expected to develop pioneering research and to make appropriate education in these fields. Job description The activity of the Laboratory is closely related to those of the other earth resources engineering laboratories such as “Environmental Geosphere Engineering” and “ Environment and Resource System Engineering” in the Department of Urban Management, and “Geophysics” and “Measurement and Evaluation Technology” in the Department of Civil and Earth resources Engineering. The laboratory of Earth Crust Engineering, therefore, is expected to collaborate with these laboratories. A successful candidate has (ⅰ) a degree of either PhD or Doctor of Engineering in earth resources or related academic fields, (ⅱ) distinguished research record in the areas of the mission of the division, (ⅲ) excellent educational experience in universities or Requirements research institutions, (ⅳ) ability and enthusiasm in the management of the division and the department, (ⅴ) ability of verbal and literal conversations in Japanese, and (ⅵ) ability to give classes in Japanese and English.
