It is the traveller only who is foreign.” People think of other countries as “foreign” but of course these countries are not foreign to their own inhabitants. Everyone has a different idea of home and what is normal, and people grow up with different customs and traditions. If we try to understand the cultures that people have come from, we can be better hosts to them.
