Bei seinem gestrigen Individualtraining hat unser Fotograf Luca Paulus eingefangen. Luca hat sich seit seinem Einzug bei uns toll entwickelt. Auf dem Platz zeigt er permanent eine großartige Einstellung, und wenn es jetzt auch in der Schule zu 100% klappt, dann steht dem 11jährigen Luca eine tolle Zukunft bevor. Luca und Martin sind zwei tolle Beispiele für wunderbare Talente, die wir am DFI in Bad Aibling haben. Abendessen: HELLO EVERYBODY! In today’s issue of the “Morgenpost” I would like to tell you something about what is done in the 8th grade English lesson. After having learned a lot about the ‘home country’ of English, which is Great Britain of course, in classes 5 to 7 we finally fly across the pond and set foot on American ground. Our journey takes us to New York City first – one of the most fascinating and interesting cities in the world. Our stay there will last approximately one to two months, so we will have enough time to find out about its geography, its people and why people say it’s the greatest city in the world. Since all of you are crazy about sports we won’t miss the chance to take part in the biggest sports event in the world – the American Super Bowl. Next stop will be ‘a visit in the past’. We will have a closer look at the history of the United States, which won’t be hard at all because you will talk about it in your History lessons, too. We will find out for example about the ‘birth’ of the nation, about Native Americans and Dr Martin Luther King’s fight for the rights of black people in America. Since the USA does not only consist of New York our trip goes on to some other states, too. We will be having wonderful days in Florida and you will see that people quite rightly call it ‘The Sunshine State’. Also you will get to know some of the other sights it has to offer. Furthermore we journey on across the country to finally arrive in Utah where we are supposed to go on a mountain bike tour across the desert. You see we have got a tight schedule, so you’d better pack your suitcase and get ready for our journey! B.
