Board ET-OPTO RELAY4 ET-OPTO RELAY4 Board ET-OPTO RELAY-4 which is a set of 4 Channel Switch ON/OFF Contact OPTO-ISOLATE OUTPUT uses to control operation of electric devices as ON/OFF Contact. It uses signal Logic TTL to control RELAY operation and circuit that uses to control RELAY operation is OPTO-ISLATE circuit. It protects controller circuit or Board Microcontroller from signal interruptions of RELAY operation and Output devices that controls operation of RELAY Contact and it makes Microcontroller system more efficient and reliable. Circuit of RELAY operation is designed to run with status Logic “0” and stop running with status Logic “1” because it protects RELAY not to run while Microcontroller system is being RESET status or signal controller of Board ET-OPTO RELAY4 is let free. ETT CO.,LTD -1- WWW.ETT.CO.TH Board ET-OPTO RELAY4 Board Operation Board ET-OPTO RELAY-4 controls the operation of Switch Contact devices, user needs to input power supply as +12VDC to supply electricity into RELAY coil. User should use adapter for RELAY operation differently from adapter for Board Microcontroller because it can protect Microcontroller circuit from any interruption while RELAY or OUTPUT devices that are controlled by RELAY are running. Board operation starts to run when there’s Logic “0” into OUTPUT circuit, it makes Base PIN of Transistor BC557 on Input part of OPTO ISOLATE (PC817) is received the correct BIOS. After that Transistor will take +VCC (+5VDC) out from Pin Emitter and take into Collector through 330 Ohm Registor to limit current for OPTO ISOLATE (PC817). It makes OPTO ISOLATE circuit runs and current flows from power supply +12VDC through OUTPUT part of OPTO ISOLATE (PC817). Power supply +12VDC is limited current by Resistor 1KOHM before input them into Base PIN of Transistor BC547 that is connected with OUTPUT part of OPTO ISOLATE. It makes Transistor BC557 convey the current and when power supply flows through coil of RELAY, it makes RELAY and LED run. For Board application, it uses to control operation of ON/OFF Contact device. There’s two types of RELAY Contact; NO and NC, user need to select only one type for connecting with COM (Common) PIN. - NO or Normal Open: It means that Contact as normally open. It runs when RELAY starts to run. - NC or Normal Close: It means that Contact as normally close. It stops to work when RELAY starts to run. There are two methods to interface signal TTL with Output circuit of Microcontroller. Firstly, it is interfaced by using IDE 10 PIN connector. User needs to use Pair cable and can assign signal TTL to run in board as two groups; LOWER and UPPER. Secondly, it is interfaced by using CPA 6 Pin connector as shown in the table.
