For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Once again, the Lord has allowed us to stand at the threshold of another year. This is a time for reflecting upon the past and looking forward toward the future. I am sure that all of us experienced both good days and bad days in the past year. Yet, God has shown Himself to be faithful in all situations. He loves and accepts us unconditionally, looking beyond our faults and seeing our needs. May we learn and grow in our faith with our knowledge and experiences with God in the past and walk with hope and confidence in the New Year. Jesus instructs us not to have anxiety in regards to the future. He instructs his disciples to live with hope and confidence as citizens of the kingdom of heaven. The key to living with confidence and hope in the New Year is our focus and our faith. Jesus states, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things (things we need such as food, clothing, and shelter) will be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:33-34 NKJV Let us remember our motto, “We’re all in this together, being the church God has called us to be.” The church is a community of faith. Our role is to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. And I've looked over, and I've seen the Promised Land.” “To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.” “Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power.
