Goals For A Transformational Church
People Become Like Jesus
The Congregation Acts More Like The Body Of Christ
The Community Reflects More The Kingdom Of God
Praise God from whom all blessings flow! For the Lord is good, His
mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Once again, the Lord has
allowed us to stand at the threshold of another year. This is a time for reflecting upon the past
and looking forward toward the future. I am sure that all of us experienced both good days and
bad days in the past year. Yet, God has shown Himself to be faithful in all situations. He loves
and accepts us unconditionally, looking beyond our faults and seeing our needs. May we learn and
grow in our faith with our knowledge and experiences with God in the past and walk with hope
and confidence in the New Year.
Jesus instructs us not to have anxiety in regards to the future. He instructs his disciples
to live with hope and confidence as citizens of the kingdom of heaven. The key to living with
confidence and hope in the New Year is our focus and our faith. Jesus states, “But seek first the
kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things (things we need such as food, clothing, and shelter) will be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow
will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:33-34 NKJV
Let us remember our motto, “We’re all in this together, being the church God has called
us to be.” The church is a community of faith. Our role is to be the salt of the earth and the light
of the world.

BETHEL BAPTIST MISSIONARY MINISTRY CELEBRATES 102ND ANNIVERSARY
Sunday, December 14, 2014 Bethel Baptist Missionary Ministry celebrated another year of kingdom building. Guest preacher was Dr. Evans L. Spagner, Coordinator, Lott Carey Baptist Foreign
Mission Convention Mission Education Program. 2014 theme was “Missionaries Ministering to
the Least with a Spirit of Compassion”, Scriptural reference Matthew 25:40.
Dr. Spagner’s message was “Only what you do for Christ will last”. He talked about, if you see a
need what do you do about it; do you try and help or just ignore it? We all should help our brothers and sisters in need with compassion and love.
Dr. Evans L. Spagner
We were very blessed to have Missionaries from neighboring churches to come and fellowship
with us on our special occasion. Sis. Geneva and the Culinary Ministry prepared a delicious meal that was enjoyed by
all. A Special thank you to the committee for a job well done.

GREEN CHRISTMAS CONCERT
On Saturday, December 6, 2014 the Voices of Inspiration and members from the Male Chorus, New Creation Choir and
non Choir members came together and sponsored our Annual Green Christmas Concert, under the direction of Sis. Angelique Banks Coleman. The concert was magnificent! iI really put you into the Holiday Spirit with songs like “O
Come all Ye Faithful, Joy to the World and a host of others.
Sis. Coleman began working with the choir during our Christian Education week through a workshop called “Gotta
Know Worship”. Sis Coleman was a true inspiration to the choir. A wonderful knowledgeable time was had by all who
attended.
The purpose of the concert was to raise funds for the Missionary Ministry to help make someone else’s holiday a little
more blessed. All proceeds are given out. In spite of the rainy weather the concert was well attended; more than 175
people came out. Delicious refreshments was prepared by the Missionary Ministry, A BIG thank to you all.
