Maximum Entry Limit: The first 550 Swimmers entered (with a maximum of 200 swimmers for the 10U/11U sessions)

Meet Eligibility






Athletes must have achieved at least one Blue Bears Meet Qualifying Time to be eligible for entry (see last page of meet package)
Swimmers’ age will be determined as of January 09, 2015
Once swimmers have qualified in one individual event, they may swim a maximum of 7 events. (no more than three swims per session)
All events must be entered with a Seed Time. “No Time” entries are not accepted.
Should a swimmer be entered in an event with a NT entry, they will be removed from the event. Please check your entries carefully prior to
uploading them.
Meet Management reserves the right to remove swimmers from event if their times create sessions longer than initially intended. This
refers specifically to swimmers entered in 200m or 400m that do not meet the times standards in that event as well as 800/1500 events.
Teams will be advised in advance and have the opportunity to re-enter swimmers in alternate events.
EKSC swimmers may enter the meet without achieving a Meet standard.

INDIVIDUAL EVENTS
Swimmers must be Registered with SNC
The meet will follow SNC Rules and SNC warm-up procedures
will be in place for all warm-up sessions
The Meet Manager reserves the right to limit entries
Deck entries will be accepted as exhibition swims at double the
regular entry fee per event, only if the entry does not create a
new heat.
Preliminaries will be swum Senior Seeded.
Finals for the events will be determined by the following age
groups, 11&12, 13&14 and 15& over for girls and 12&13, 14 &15
and 16 and over for boys.
A 10 & U girl or 11 & U boy may swim in an event of next higher
age category only if an event is not available to them in their own
age category and they have a qualifying time for the higher age
category. Please refer to SNC rule book CSWAG 1.1.5 and
1.1.6. The meet manager must be advised prior to the scratch
deadline.


RELAYS:
A maximum of 3 relays per team per event will be accepted
Relays will be swum as Timed Finals during the Final Sessions
with the exception of the 10/11 & U Relays (in Prelims)
Individual names for relays must be submitted to the Clerk of
Course 30 minutes prior to the start of the session in which the
event is scheduled.
Any changes in relays names must be provided to the Clerk of
Meet Management reserves the right to Double Lane the 800 and

Top eight of each gender and of each event will swim one

The 800 and 1500 will be seeded fastest to slowest. The

first heat of 800 & 1500 will run concurrently in opposite
pools alternating female/male.
Swimmers may not enter both the 800 and the 1500 Free

Positive Check-in is required for all 800 and 1500 meter events and
12/13 and over time finals events (400 events and 200 Fly) prior to
the start of warm ups for the the session in which the event is run.
Swimmers failing to check in will be scratched from the
๏
event.
Only accredited and participating swimmers, coaches, and
chaperones will be permitted on the pool deck and in the facility
locker rooms.
Access will be through the main entrance of the Kinsmen Sports
Centre. Only meet officials who are working that session will be
permitted on the pool deck. Team photographers will only be
permitted on the pool deck at the discretion and approval of the
Meet Manager.

Scratches
Scratch Deadline for Time Final Events (including relays):
 Scratches are to be submitted to the clerk of course by the start of the previous night’s finals, or before 3:00 pm the day prior to the start of the
meet, in order that the session can be seeded.
 Late Scratches may be received by the Clerk of Course 30 minutes prior to the start of each session in which a Time Final Event is scheduled.
No re-seeding will occur, without the approval of the referee.
Scratch Deadline for Time Final Events using Positive Check-in
 The deadline for Positive Check-in shall be clearly communicated in the meet package and communicated to coaches at the technical meeting.
 Failure to check-in by the deadline will be deemed a scratch and the swimmer will be removed from the event. There is no penalty for swimmers
who fail to check-in.
 Once checked–in a swimmer is not entitled to scratch from the event. No-shows, step-downs and unexcused incomplete swims will result in the
swimmer being scratched from all remaining events, except relays, scheduled for that day.
Scratch Deadline and Penalties for Finals:
 Scratches are to be submitted to the clerk of course 30 minutes after conclusion of the preliminary session.
 The Late Scratch Deadline shall be 30 minutes prior to the start of the finals session. However, there shall be no re-seeding to include
scratches made after the initial scratch deadline. The Late Scratch Deadline only applies if the coach of the late scratch swimmer notifies the
referee and the coach of the alternate. The alternate is under no obligation to swim. Should the alternate decline to swim the coach of the
late scratch swimmer must contact the coach of the 2nd alternate.
No-Shows, Step Downs, & Late Scratches:
• No penalty for Prelim events or 10/11 & U events. In Finals, the offending swimmer will be scratched from all remaining individual final events
for the session.

All swimmers achieving a NEW “A’ or Western time standard will have their name placed in a drum for a prize draw at the
end of the meet. There will be prizes drawn for both Male and Female categories.
15 & under boys and 14 & under girls award. One award will be awarded for each of the following distance events 800 &
1500 free, 400 free and 400IM based on the most improved swims from valid entry times.
An aggregate award for male and female age groups 15 & O based on point total. Note: top 3 placings only with
