Prohibited or Limited Access Areas for Dogs
Wellington Point Reserve
Victoria Point
Dogs are prohibited from being brought in to the
designated swimming beach, playground and picnic
areas adjacent to the access road at all times. (Refer to
W. H. Yeo Park / Thompson’s Beach
red arrow on map below)
Dogs are totally prohibited on the foreshore adjacent to
this park, known as Thompson’s Beach, between the
intersection of Thompson Street and Thompson
Esplanade and west to the mouth of Moogurrumpum
Creek. (Refer to yellow area on map below)
Saturday, Sunday, Public Holidays
Dogs are prohibited between the hours of 9.00am and
4.00pm from entering the Reserve. This includes the
sandbar exposed at low tide between the reserve and
King Island.
Dog owners are permitted to walk their dogs on leash on
weekdays and before 9.00am and after 4.00pm on
Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays except for the
designated swimming beach, playground and picnic area
adjacent to the access road.
Saturday, Sunday, Public Holidays
Dogs are prohibited between the hours of 9.00am and
4.00pm.
Dog owners are permitted to walk their dogs on leash at
W.H. Yeo Park on weekdays and before 9.00am and
after 4.00pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Public
Holidays.
Victoria Point Beaches
Beth Boyd Park (Thorneside)
Dogs are prohibited from being brought on to this reserve
and its adjacent foreshore at all times. (Refer to red arrow
on map below)
Dogs are totally prohibited from being brought on to the
foreshores situated at the end of Edinburgh Street,
Church Street and Wilson Street on weekends and
public holidays. (Refer to red arrows on map below)
Cleveland
North Stradbroke Island
Dogs are prohibited between the hours of 6.00am
and 4.00pm on Sunday at the following areas:
Cylinder Beach
Bloomfield Street between Queen Street and
Middle Street
The footpath from Doig Street in the west to the
Shopping Centre car park
Cleveland Markets
Dogs are totally prohibited from being brought to
Cylinder Beach, more particularly, on to the
foreshore and the reserve between the foreshore
and the roads abutting the reserve.
Main Beach
Raby Bay Beaches
Dogs are totally prohibited from being brought on to
all Raby Bay Beaches except the foreshore and
seashore located at the most easterly beach of Raby
Bay Foreshore Park opposite the roundabout at
Masthead Drive, Sentinel Court and Seacreast Court.
This is a well signed dog off-leash area.
Redland Bay Esplanade
Dogs are totally prohibited from being brought on to
the foreshores adjacent to the Redland Bay
Esplanade where Gray Street and Bay Streets
intersect. (Refer to orange line on map below)
Dogs are totally prohibited from being brought on to
the foreshore situated between North East of Plan 7
Road and the access road adjacent to the Point
Lookout Surf Life Saving Club.
Brown Lake Conservation Area And Myora
Springs Reserve
Dogs are prohibited from entering these areas at all
times.
Swimming Enclosures
Dogs are totally prohibited from the foreshore and
seashore in front of the swimming enclosures at
Redland Bay,North Stradbroke Island, Russell
Island, Macleay Island, Lamb Island and Karragarra
Island.
Coochiemudlo Island
Dogs are totally prohibited from being brought on to
all reserves and foreshores between the boat ramp
and Main Beach foreshore, extending in an easterly
direction to Norfolk Beach, extending in a northerly
direction to Morwong Beach, extending in a westerly
direction to the intersection of Morwong Beach.
Dogs are permitted to be exercised off-leash (but
under effective control) on the foreshore on the
western side of the barge ramp.
