The Technical specification and terms and conditions of the above items in detail
are furnished in Tender application. The tender application is to be obtained from DRDOBU CLS with a requisition and on payment of Rs. 1575/- in DRDO-BU CLS office from
3rd November, 2014 and the tender to be submitted alongwith the EMD as follows:
EMD :
Upto 2 Lakhs : 2.5% of the price quoted
Above 5 Lakhs: 2% of the price quoted
The EMD of Unsuccessful
bidders will be refunded
The EMD and Tender application cost should be submitted in the form of Demand Draft
in favour of ‘The Director, DRDO-BU CLS, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore – 641
046 in any Bank payable at Coimbatore,
The Director, DRDO BU-CLS reserves the right to modify or cancel the
purchase without any intimation. The purchase will be made as per the terms and
conditions of Bharathiar University purchase procedure and rules.

TENDER CONDITIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SUPPLY OF COMPUTERS
AND PERIPHERALS
1.
Sealed tenders will be received by the Director, DRDO-BU CLS up to 3.00 p.m. on
09.01.2015 for the supply of Computers and Peripherals to the DRDO-BU CLS as
given in the schedule.
2.
The tender shall be submitted in the sealed cover superscribed as “Tender for the
supply of Computers and Peripherals to the DRDO-BU CLS.
3.
The tenders will be opened by the Director, DRDO-BU CLS in the Director’s Chamber
at 4.00 p.m. on 12.01.2015 in the presence of the tenderers who are present.
4.
Each tender forms shall be obtained with a Tender Fee of Rs.1575/-in the form of DD
drawn in favour of “Director, DRDO-BU CLS” payable at Coimbatore. Cheques and
Bank Guarantees will not be accepted.
5.
Tenders received after the stipulated time will not be entertained and will be returned
to the tenderer unopened.
6.
The entries in the tender schedule shall be as for as possible without scoring,
corrections and over writings and shall be legible. The unavoidable correction or
scoring shall be attested by full signature of the tenderer. The tenderer should sign on
each page of the tender document.
7.
In the tender schedule the tenderer should quote his rates for each item separately in
figures and words in the corresponding column.
8.
If the rates quoted in the schedule differ in words and figures, the lowest quoted rate
will be taken.
9.
Taxes or any other charges if any shall be clearly mentioned with specification of the
percentage. If not specifically mentioned, it will be taken that the rates quoted are net.
10. The rate quoted shall be for delivery at DRDO-BU CLS Campus.
11. No revision of rates at any cost will be accepted.
12. Tender documents are not transferable.
13. Tenders shall be submitted only in this official form and the tenderers should sign on
each page of the all tender documents and enclosed without any omission.
14. The tender shall be valid for a minimum period of 90 days from the date of opening.
Tenderer should not withdraw his tender after the tenders are opened.
15. Any dispute arising out of this contract shall be settled only on the court having
jurisdiction of Coimbatore.
16. The authority competent to accept the tender reserves the right to reject or accept
any tender without assigning any reasons there for.
17. This University’s general rules for the supply of the materials and works will apply on
this order also.
18. Tender shall be submitted subject to agreeing the above terms and conditions.
Original tender documents should be enclosed otherwise it will be liable for rejection.
19. Downloaded tender documents should be accompanied with tender cost.
20. Please Quote the Price with specification and make of the items lest the quotation will
not be validated.
21. The University is eligible for exemption of Central Excise Duty as per the Govt.
Notification No.10/97 Central Excise Dt.01.03.1997. Hence the item price may be
quoted separately (i.e.) Unit. Price & Taxes etc. only. The University will be given
necessary exemption form for Central Excise. It is also eligible for customs duty
exemption as per the Govt. Notification No.51/96 customs dt.23.07.1996.
22. The rate quoted should be mentioned as per the specification of the items otherwise
the tender will not be considered.
23. The Original tender form should be submitted to this office along with the tender
schedule.
24. Items can be supplied under DGS & D Rate Contract.
