What is LEXSA ?
LEXSA is the Lismore and External Students
Association. LEXSA serves two main functions
at SCU Lismore: 1) To facilitate student engagement in order to improve student experience
and; 2) To represent and advocate on behalf of
the student body at the Lismore campus. We
are funded by SSAF (Student Services and
Amenities Fees). LEXSA bids for SSAF funding
on behalf of students to providce an array of services such as common rooms, communty gardens, first aid course for members, to fund clubs,
hold events and gigs for students, and a bunch
of other things.
LEXSA Committee
LEXSA is run by students - for students.
We hold regular meetings that decide on what
SSAF funds should be spent on. We are always
looking for new members, volunteers, and your
feedback. If you have a suggestion, think something ain’t right, want to start a club, then get in
contact with us.
The LEXSA office is in the Plaza at SCU Lismore.

Common rooms:
LEXSA provides three common rooms around the
campus free for students to use in Goodman Plaza &
Z block (and soon in V Block) - includes fridge, microwave, toasters, coffee machine, coffee, tea, milo,
lounges, aircon, computers, kitchen, fruit, bread - 24
hour access with student card.
Locker hire
Locker hire is available at Lismore campus.
$5 Hire per session
$10 Refundable key deposit
Come into the office.

Our Operations Manager (Deb) can sign your forms.
Online Publishing
Get your own amazing projects published online
We want your thoughts, articles, artwork, poetry, short
stories, causes and concerns to ensure that SCU students have a voice! Check out www.lexsa.com.au
Free food
Regular Free BBQ’s in the Plaza with music.
Cereal bread, noodles, snacks in common rooms.
Fresh Organic fruit every Tuesday bought from the
Lismore Organic Market, in the common room.
Food for Thought Garden
‘Food for Thought’ is Southern Cross University’s
Lismore students and community garden - an incentive
toward sustainability and sharing food and knowledge.
Come check it out, its down by the lake.
Printing, binding, & Office equipment to utilise:
Cheapest printing in town, laminating, scanning,
industrial staplers, hole puncher, guillotine, etc.
Bring your USB into the office, and witness the
magic happen.

Go to the LEXSA website and download the
Clubs and Affiliations Package. fill it out, get a
bunch a people involved, and join LEXSA.
It’s just $5 to join LEXSA.
