Christmas Assembly
Christmas Assembly Friday 19th
December in St John’s Renfield
Church at 9.30am. We look forward to
welcoming parents, family and friends
of Kelvindale Primary at this service.
This year our Christmas collection will
be added to the money raised by the
Pupil Council Special Non Uniform day
for Band Aid30 Ebola Crisis.
If you DO NOT wish your child to
attend this service for religious
reasons you must INFORM
CLASS TEACHER IN WRITING BY
FRIDAY 12th DECEMBER.
Arrangements will be made for
teacher supervision of children
not attending the service for
religious reasons. All pupils
should come to school as normal
on this day.
Can You Help?
Children walk to St John’s Renfield
Church Fri 19th Dec from 9.10am
onwards and return to school at
approx 10.30am. If you could help by
walking with a class to and from church
we would appreciate your help. Please
wait in the playground beside infant
building 9am on Friday 19th Dec and
management will direct you to
classes once children have gone
inside. At end of service please then
re-join that class to walk back to school.

The PTA’s Christmas Cards & Gifts
venture was a huge success (total raised

Thank you to our PTA for organising
these personalised cards & gifts and to
everyone who supported this venture.

and also to staff and helpers for their

Nativity Play
Congratulations and well done to all our
P1 – P3 pupils for their fantastic
Christmas play ‘The Very Hopeless
Camel’. Every afternoon the children
gave a fantastic performance for family
and friends of Kelvindale. A special
thank you to all staff and parents who
helped the children prepare for this very
enjoyable event.
A special thank you also for your
generous donations totaling £83.15
over the 3 afternoons for The School
Fund.

The Very
Hopeless
Camel
We look forward to welcoming former
Kelvindale pupil, Carly Smith,
Commonwealth Gymnast, along with
fellow gymnast Shannon Archer, to talk
to the children about her experience as
part of the Scottish Gymnastics Team at
the Commonwealth Games this year.
After her presentation she will enjoy
watching our Kelvindale gymnasts
perform their routine from the recent
Glasgow Gymfest event.
Bag Packing at Morrisons
Congratulations to out P7 helpers and
staff who took part in the recent bag
packing event at Morrisons Anniesland in
support of the ‘Text Santa STV’ appeal
raising funds for several charities.

Christmas Pantomime will be enjoyed by
all pupils.

cosy and comfortable when helping them

Well done Anvi P4a who recently
achieved 3rd place at the Scottish Karate
Governing Body 2014 Championship in
Edinburgh.
