Overview Reporting directly to the Club General Manager, the Facilities Operations Manager plays a critical management role in each location. The Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for: •

Financial Performance: Managing equipment and supplies inventory, making recommendations for capital expenditures while maintaining labour costs in accordance with monthly and annual budgetary guidelines. Club Maintenance: Ensuring all building assets are promptly and safely maintained. This includes repair and preventative maintenance of fitness equipment, maintenance of electrical components, and audio & video systems, monitoring and operating pools, basic plumbing, painting and overall building maintenance. Identifies and manages qualified local technical vendor or contract resources (electrician, HVAC, etc.), as required. Recruitment & Training: Recruiting and selecting new Maintenance Technicians and overseeing their training in partnership with the Movati Athletic University training team. People Management: Providing coaching, mentorship, supervision and support to Maintenance & Custodial staff and external vendor partners. Managing effective staff scheduling within budget and provides employees with timely key performance assessment, feedback and recognition. Quality Control – Overseeing and ensuring cleanliness of the Club (indoor and outdoor), equipment and ensuring adherence to departmental processes and •
procedures. Club Management: Developing an in-­‐depth understanding of club operations and key functions across all departments. Ensuring close working relationship with all functional leaders. Key Qualifications: You possess: •
A University degree or Technical Certification in a related field is strongly preferred. •
5+ years related Facilities Operations or Building Maintenance experience and related working technical knowledge with a strong record of achieving preventative maintenance and capital expenditure budget goals. •
3+ years of leadership and people management skills. Proven success in leading, training and motivating teams. •
Related industry experience preferred (i.e. retail, hospitality, leisure, fitness, etc.). •
A thorough knowledge of general maintenance procedures. •
Proven ability to develop credible, effective working relationships with employees, contractors, vendors and the community. •
Ability to create and sustain a culture of service focused on hospitality, caring, welcoming and fun Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills •

Ability to act with tact, diplomacy and professionalism coupled with strong decision-­‐making and problem solving skills. Ability to work flexible hours, as required. •
Ability to work with a sense of urgency. •
Demonstrates a “roll up the sleeves” mentality. •

Demonstrated understanding of safe work practices and Occupational Health & Safety requirements and legislation. •
Strong decision-­‐making and problem solving skills. •
Current CPR & First Aid are required and must be maintained through employment. Proof of certification is required within one month of hire. •
