RUGBY WORLD CUP TRAVEL SUB-AGENTS APPONITED BY SA RUGBY TRAVEL
The South African Rugby Union (SARU) and SA Rugby Travel are pleased to announce that Edusport
Travel and Makro Sports Travel have been appointed as official sub-agents to SA Rugby Travel for
the sale of Rugby World Cup 2015 travel packages.
The appointment of the two leading agents follows a rigorous selection process to find partners to
ensure Springbok fans are expertly serviced on the wide choice of travel packages available.
Official SA Rugby Travel fan packages for Rugby’s showcase event are now on sale from SA Rugby
Travel and its sub-agents. For more information please contact info@sarugbytravel or visit
www.sarugbytravel.com. Flight and match ticket only packages are available and begin from as little
as R13 125 (excluding airport taxes).
“We have had very strong interest from South African fans and Corporate SA since we launched the
programme with SA Rugby Travel,” said Jurie Roux, CEO of SARU. “There is every indication that we
will transport a record number of South Africans to the tournament and the appointment of
Edusport and Makro Sports Travel will assist in delivering an outstanding fan experience.”
SA Rugby Travel is a joint venture between SARU and Tourvest Destination Management, set up
specifically to look after the interests of Bok rugby fans. Bryan Coetzee, director of Sports Travel at
Tourvest, said: “We’re very pleased with the two sub-agent appointments as both Edusport and
Makro Sports Travel are both credible and experienced sports tour operators with solid Rugby World
Cup travel experience.”
RWC Packages are also now available to the general travel trade through SA Rugby Travel and its sub
agents on a referral basis.
