St Peter’s College International Rugby Program St Peter’s College has a proud tradition in Rugby. The International Rugby Program was very well received in 2012. In addition to gaining an insight into the way rugby is played in New Zealand students will attend ESOL classes and integrate into the school’s mainstream program. このプログラムは留学生にラグビースキルとテクニックを上達させ、また、高いレベルのラグビー知 識を身に付けられる環境を提供します。また、ニュージーランドの生徒達とラグビーをプレイする事 に加え ESOL(英語を母国語としない生徒が受ける英語授業)と一般の生徒と一緒に授業を受けた りもします。 The program runs from March through to August. This coincides with the New Zealand Rugby Season. All students will play for a St Peter’s Rugby team. The team they are selected for will be appropriate to the player’s age, weight and playing ability. The Rugby Academy class will take place every day. This class will be for the international students only. When suitable, students will be integrated into the school’s mainstream program. He has vast coaching experience which includes coaching Auckland Secondary Schools and being a selector for New Zealand Secondary Schools. He is able to provide current and detailed knowledge of New Zealand rugby which will ensure students will improve there rugby intelligence, rugby skills and tactical appreciation of the game. Mark Wilson also has strong relationships in the Auckland rugby community. Walter is a highly qualified coach having completed the NZRU Advanced Coaching Course. He is the current Auckland Secondary Schools coach and coached St Peter’s 1st XV for a number of years. Walter is from the Chaco province in Argentina. He played his rugby for the University Club North East and NE Provincial Team. Over recent years they have been semi-finalists in 2009 and 2010. The 1st XV have won the national championship twice. The school is well equipped with modern facilities including a 3G artificial turf rugby field that is regarded as the best of its type in New Zealand.
