The weeklong program is part of the Health Wildcatters’ 12-week startup accelerator, which culminates in November when the startups present to investors at a “Pitch Day.” While many events during VC Week are specifically for startups in the accelerator program, certain events will be open to the public. VC Week events open to the public include: Term Sheet Mock Negotiation Friday, October 17, 9:00 a.m. The purpose of the mock negotiation is to demystify the term sheet process by providing a realistic example of how these deals actually go down. This not only will give startup founders valuable exposure to such negotiations, but also will help demonstrate the art and science of a Series A term sheet negotiation, as witnessed from both the startup founder and investor perspectives. Startup Career Fair Friday, October 17, 2:00 p.m. The Startup Career Fair is an opportunity for job seekers and Dallas startups to connect. Open to students, graduates, experienced professionals, freelancers and those looking for a career change, the career fair is a great opportunity for startups to find the talent they need. “VC Week is a great way for our startups to get additional exposure to some of the funding elements that they’ll encounter after the program,” says Dr. Hubert Zajicek, Health Wildcatters CEO. “We’re also excited to welcome the public to some of the VC Week events and provide a glimpse into our program in anticipation for Pitch Day.” Health Wildcatters has 11 companies in its current class of startups.
