THE COLLEGE CEREMONY 2014
It is our pleasure to invite you to become a New Fellow of the
College at the College Ceremony 2014.
The Ceremony is an opportunity to formally acknowledge and
celebrate the considerable achievement of being recognised as
a Fellow of the College. The College Ceremony is taking place
during the RACP Congress 2014 on Sunday 18 May 2014.
We would also be delighted if you could join us at Congress to
be held 19-21 May 2014.
Information on how to register, the Ceremony venue,
academic dress and other details are outlined in this document.

Please register your Ceremony attendance via the Ceremony page by Tuesday 25
March, 2014.
The College Ceremony will be held in conjunction with RACP Congress. If you plan
on attending the Congress please use the Ceremony and Congress registration link.
COLLEGE CEREMONY RECEPTION
A light Cocktail Reception for New Fellows and those receiving Medals/Prizes
and their guests will be held immediately following the Ceremony from 6.00 to
7.00 pm.
New Fellows and Medal/Prize recipients being presented at the Ceremony are
invited to attend, with up to four guests.
Please confirm your attendance when registering for the Ceremony on the
Congress website.

ACADEMIC DRESS
New Fellows, College Medallists and Prize awardees being presented to the President
will be expected to wear FRACP, Faculty or Chapter academic dress.

The College will provide gowns for hire on a first come, first served pre-booked basis.

All gowns/bonnets must be reserved when registering your
attendance on the Congress website

Immediately following Ceremony
The College office will make every endeavour to provide gowns for hire on a first
come first served pre-booked basis. Please book before 25 March 2014.
ORDER OF PROCEEDINGS
All New Fellows/Medallists attending the Ceremony will receive details regarding the
order of proceedings in April 2014 via email.
PHOTOGRAPHY
A photographer will photograph the ‘handshake between you and the President’
during the Ceremony. The photographer will also be available before and after the
Ceremony for individual and family photographs. Details from the photographer will
accompany the order of proceedings information.
