The Grange
is a Grade II listed building located
in Neasden. Brent’s former Grange Museum of
Community History (better known as “the museum
on the roundabout”) was based here until early 2005.
It now houses the offices of ABi Associates CIC, one
of London’s leading business support companies,
providing enterprise support and training to the
business
community,
voluntary
groups
and
individuals. The Grange is a business hub for
enterprises from the private and voluntary sectors. It
maintains its community spirit by providing
organisations & entrepreneurs with space to
showcase their projects, products and services.

Programme for Brent is an exciting
new enterprise programme aimed at young
people aged 18-30. ABi Associates, in
partnership with Tottenham Football Club,
BTEG and PJ’s, has been awarded funding to
deliver this by Trust for London and Department for Communities and Local Government.
Commencing in February 2014, it will help create the next entrepreneurial generation by
inspiring young people to build their entrepreneurial know-how and transform their idea into
a small business. Above all, it will connect them to like-minded people and open up the
dynamic world of enterprise and self-employment. All participants will have an opportunity
to pitch their ideas to a panel made up of business owners. For further information contact

AWishforKilburn
2013 Xmas Wish event
held on 14 Dec was sponsored by ABi together
with other business and voluntary groups to bring
Kilburn residents and traders closer and to
increase trade for the local businesses. ABi has
set up www.facebook.com/awishforKilburn to
provide
information
and
volunteering
opportunities and in March 2014, the group will
be organising the Taste of Kilburn 2014 food fest.

My Hobby:My Business is the
latest
enterprise initiative from ABi. Launched in
summer 2013, it supports Brent residents to
explore realistic opportunities for turning their
hobbies into micro businesses that generate
income from activities they enjoy. Seminars
cover topics such as marketing & promotion,
ebay selling, taxation and business planning.
Participants also have an opportunity to “test
trade” and enter a Business Plan completion
with a £250.00 first prize. Over sixty aspiring
entrepreneurs have already accessed this
support and there is still an opportunity for
more residents to get involved. For more

Voluntary and Community Organisations are facing a
challenging and changing environment that includes
reduced funding, increased competition and a greater
need for their core services. At the same time there are
tremendous market opportunities to explore. To address
this, CVS and ABi are offering 1:1 business advice
sessions to organisations who wish to develop their
entrepreneurial potential. Sessions will be held on

The Grange
is an unusual and unique
building which has been part of Neasden/Dollis
Hill since the 1660s. It’s been a residential
house, a squat, a museum and now a business
hub for entrepreneurs. Hundreds of thousands of
people have visited /passed through this Grade II
listed building. To capture their experiences and
to also maintain its historic community links, a
group of local residents have established a
