HBC Band Camp Lessons

Heritage Band Camp Lessons 2014
Greetings. We are delighted that you are attending the Heritage Band and Choral
Camp this summer. We are even more excited to be able to offer professional lessons at
our camp this summer. We will be offering lessons for the woodwinds, brass, and
percussion instrumentalists.
We have picked some of the finest teachers to help train and coach you during
this week of band camp. You may choose any of the teachers on this list and rest assured,
they are all professionals in their field of study and musical experience.
The lessons will be 30 minutes in length. The lessons will take place during the
camp day. Each student will be given a time slot of 30 minutes to meet with their chosen
instructor. The student will be allowed to miss whatever band/choral activity that is
taking place at the time.
Band camp students can take up to 4 private lessons (Monday –
Thursday). One private lesson is $15.00. Those not attending the camp, but
desirous of taking lessons will be charged $20.00 per lesson.
Lessons need to be scheduled in advance and pre-paid in advance. Cancellations will not
be made up or refunded unless for extreme emergencies.

French horn:
BJU Professor - Mr. Mark Frederick (French horn teacher)
Trombone, Baritone, Euphonium:
BJU Professor - Dr. Paul Overly (Trombone, baritone, euphonium teacher)
Tuba:
Dr. Paul Overly (Tuba teacher)
Percussion:
Schaumburg’s Band Director - Mr. Keith Riffel (Percussion teacher)
Voice:
Mrs. Sharon Weigle (Ladies voice teacher)
Mr. John Weigle (Men’s voice teacher)

pre-pay for any private lessons with a separate check from the band camp registration

should be submitted on or before Wednesday, July 30, 2014.
