Student/Family Information BFA Fairfax High School Back to School Night Monday, August 25th, 2014 Please join your fellow classmates, parents, guardians, faculty, administration, and community members in celebrating the start of another school year. We look forward to welcoming the freshman Class of 2018 and to welcoming back the Classes of 2015, 2016, and 2017! Below you will find the schedule and information about what to expect during Back to School Night. Schedule: 6:00 – 6:25pm Freshmen students, parents, and guardians meet in the multipurpose room with Principal Clark as well as David Buckingham and Katherine McElroy from the Guidance Department. There will be time to review schedules and try out your locker. All Students and Families will follow the block schedule outlined below: Teachers will share classroom expectations and course learning targets. 6:306:45 Block 1 6:507:05 Block 2 7:107:25 Support Block 7:307:45 Block 3 7:508:05 Block 4 8:05 pm Back to Support Blocks for iPad distribution 8:058:30pm Reception in the Gym – after you’ve picked up your iPad come join us in the Richard A. Brown Memorial Gymnasium for refreshments and to meet your next quarter and semester teachers, checkin with old friends, and celebrate the start of school. If your student attends one of the Technical programs at Burlington Technical Center or the Center for Technology – Essex, representatives from these programs will be in the Multipurpose room during the evening. Additionally, the Student Support Center, Guidance Department, School Nurse’s office, SAP Counselor’s office, SET for Life Program, and Strive Program will be open.
