Implementation Tips
Whether you are implementing a BYOD (students bring their own devices to school) or a 1:1 (students use
school-provided devices) plan, here are some helpful tips and guidelines to ensure the best user experience.
Browsers in General
Always work closely with your IT staff and device provider to resolve any issues!
1. HMH Online Editions, our online browser-based content, are designed to work on 7” screens
or larger for the best user experience.
2. Most issues can be solved with browser configurations:
• Don’t block pop-up windows, as educational content often relies on them.
• Choose a convenient folder to house what you download while using your browser.
• Enable JavaScript.
Android Tablets
As there are numerous types of Android devices and many versions of the Android OS, the quality of user experience
may vary based on hardware manufacturer, cellular carrier, or operating system and browser combination in use. For
advice on achieving the optimal experience with HMH online content within your device and instructional delivery plans,
