2014/2015 Holiday Season Garbage and Recycling Collection Schedule
Garbage and recycling collection across Oxford County will
be operating under an altered schedule over the holiday
season. Residents should check the collection schedules
(right) to make note of when garbage and recycling should
go out to the curb.
Our collection crews will also be seeing an increase in
collection volumes. Give them a hand by following these
tips for a problem-free pick-up all winter long:
WINTER COLLECTION TIPS
• Place material where it can be clearly seen and
safely collected.
• Ensure material is free of snow and ice.
• Keep material away from sidewalks.
• Do not place material on top of snowbanks.
• Avoid use of white garbage bags in the winter.
• Place bag tag around the neck of the garbage bag
so that the ends of the tag are stuck to one another.
This will prevent lost tags due to cold weather
related issues.
• If you have acceptable on-site storage, you may
wish to not set-out material during times of extreme
weather conditions.
• Visit oxfordcounty.ca for tips on sorting your
recycling and determining what you can (and can’t)
put in your blue box.

The Oxford County Waste Management Facility is located at 384060 Salford Road, 1.5 km east of the Village of Salford
on County Road 46. Regular operating hours are M-F 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
