ROW 2: (1) B-F Block, (1) C-F blocks, (1) B-F Block, (1) D 9 1/2” square

6. Sew (1) GBG unit to the top and
to the bottom of (1) CGC unit.

STRIP SETS
7. Sew strip sets together as follows:
Make (1) H-B-E 27 ½” strip unit; (1) H-B-E 36 ½”
strip unit; (1) H-C-E 36 ½” strip unit. Sew (2) H 3
½” x wof strips together short end to short end and
subcut (1) H 3 ½” x 45 ½” strip. Repeat for C and E
3 ½” strips. Then sew together to make (1) H-C-E
45 ½” strip unit.
8. Sew Nine Patch blocks to the strip units to make
pieced border units as follows: Refer to diagrams for
rotation of strip units.
Left Side Border: (1) HBE 36 ½” unit, (1) BC Nine

3. Sew (1) CAC unit to the top of (1) EFA unit.

Square to 9 ½”. Make (7) C-F blocks. Repeat with

9. Beginning on left side of quilt center, sew border
units on counter clockwise. (Refer to Quilt Diagram).
BORDERS:
10. B and C borders: Sew (1) B 2 ¼” x (63 ½”)
border strip to the right side of quilt center. Sew (1)
C 2 ¼” x (63 ½”) border strip to the left side of quilt

center. Sew (1) B 2 ¼” x (58”) border strip to the top of quilt center. Sew (1)
C 2 ¼” x (58”) border strip to bottom of quilt center.
11. D border: Sew (1) D 4 ½” x (67”) border strip to each side of quilt top.
Then sew (1) D 4 ½” x (66”) border strip to the top and to the
bottom of quilt top.
FINISHING
Cut batting and backing 3” larger than top on all
sides. Layer backing, batting and top and baste
or pin. When quilting is completed, trim excess
batting and backing. Bind as usual. Finished quilt
size: 65 1/2” x 74 1/2”
