Circular Rc.No.R.A.I(3)/28259/2013 CIRCULAR Sub : Dated : 07.04.2014 Revenue Department – Provision of Sim Cards to HODs and Special Deputy Collectors (SSS, SSI)s under Common User Group – Instructions for effective usage – Regarding. Ref : 1) G.O.(Ms) No.420, Revenue (R.A.2(2)) Dept., dated 24.10.2013. 2) This Office Letter No.R.A.I(1)/ 29259/2013 dated 18.2.2014. ------Kind attention of the District Collectors is invited to the references cited. 2) Pursuant to the orders issued in the G.O.1st cited, Sim cards have been procured from BSNL and handed over to the HODs and the Special Deputy Collectors (SSS and SSI)s under Closed User Group Scheme. 3) It is stated that the numbers of all the HODs i.e. O/o Additional Chief Secretary / Commissioner of Revenue Administration, O/o. Commissioner of Land Administration, Commissioner of Land Reforms and the SDCs(SSS & SSI)s in all the Districts have been linked in CUG with the BSNL Mobile Numbers of the District Collectors, District Revenue Officers, Revenue Divisional Officers, Personal Assistant (G) to the Collectors, Revenue Divisional Officers, HS(G), Tahsildars, Zonal Deputy Tahsildars and Revenue Inspectors of all Districts. The following are the advantages of CUG with that of normal connections : 1) In this CUG connection all the Collectors, PA(G)s, DROs, RDOs, HS(G)s, Tahsildars, Zonal D.Ts, and R.Is and other HODs are connected with these 93 connections newly given. Therefore the calls made to the above officials from these 93 SIM Cards are free of cost in which telephone cost may be cut down drastically. 2) In normal connections without CUG, local calls to other BSNL numbers will be charged at 30 paise per 15 Sec. in Plan 525 without CUG. But now since all other numbers in the Districts and other HODs are under CUG, the calls made will be free of cost even for unlimited time. 3) The Users will be able to know their current usage at any point of time by sending SMS to 53733 typing as AMT which will update them so that they will be cautious in not exceeding their ceiling limit. 4) In due course of time when all the users in CUG effectively use their mobile numbers for contacting the HODs and District officials instead of land line board numbers there will be drastic cut down in the cost of telephone charges. 4) Therefore for the above reasons, the all the District Collectors are requested to give suitable instructions to their subordinate officials in the Districts to use their CUG numbers effectively to cut down the telephone expenditure. 5) A list of mobile numbers of the HODs and SDC(SSS & SSI)s and the ceiling limit for their mobile numbers are sent in email. All the Collectors are requested to circulate the numbers to all the users. The receipt of this circular may be acknowledged at the earliest.
