KOLLING BUILDING LOCATION
The DMU Preparation Workshop / DDU Technical Seminar will be held on Level 5 of the Kolling Building
(Building 6) located on the grounds of the Royal North Shore Hospital, St Leonards, Sydney. Please find
the Site Map below, see reference E9 for the location of the Kolling building within the hospital grounds.
How to get there
By train
Royal North Shore Hospital is close to St Leonards railway station. Trains stop at St Leonards Station
which is on the North Shore and Northern lines. Frequency of service is about every 10 minutes during
peak hours and the trip takes 29 minutes from Town Hall and 25 minutes from Hornsby. Royal North Shore
Hospital is a short walking distance from St Leonards Station (495 metres). If you require further
information visit CityRail.
By bus
There are several bus routes to St Leonards. Routes 252,253 and 254 from Town Hall stop at Gore Hill,
Pacific Highway, St Leonards. Route 290 from Town Hall (Clarence Street near Mullins Street) stops at
Pacific Highway near Greenwich. Frequency of service is about 15 minutes during peak hours and the trip
takes 50 minutes. Royal North Shore Hospital is a short walking distance from the bus stop (525 metres).
For further information visit Sydney Buses.
By car
Locate Reserve Road, St Leonards (in the UBD Street Directory that is at map 21, J9).
The Wilson car park
Located just opposite the Kolling building has a great parking deal. 1 day is about $30 – but 3 days is $31
and 5 days is about $38. All you do is enter the car park and get your ticket as per normal – then take that
ticket to the people at the Pay Desk (opposite lift on ground floor) and tell them you want a 3 day or 5 day
ticket. They will take your ticket and give you a new one. You pay for it there and then.
Every time you exit and re-enter the car park you put your ticket into the machine – which reads it and spits
it back out again. It also works on a 24 hour clock – so 4pm on day one is good to 4pm on day 3 or 5.
Parking on the hospital grounds
Paid parking including disabled parking is available on the grounds. Entry to the multistorey hospital car
park is from Reserve Road.
Parking is charged at an hourly rate. Look for blue signs displaying parking rates. Allow ample time to find a
space.
Street meter parking
Meter parking is available on Pacific Highway, Herbert Street and First Avenue (adjacent to the Kolling
Building).
Please observe parking regulations carefully!
Police patrol the grounds and issue infringement notices. The Parking office is located in the Main Block
next to the Enquiries Desk.
By taxi
Taxis may drop off/pick up at Reserve Road entrance. There are taxi phones in the foyer and a taxi rank on
Reserve Road near the Pacific Highway.
