PUBLIC NOTICE
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE AND REMOVE
DISABLED PERSONS’ PARKING SPACES AT LOCATIONS IN AMPTHILL AND FLITWICK
Reason for proposal: The proposed Order is considered necessary in the interests of improving parking
facilities for disabled persons. The proposed disabled parking spaces are mainly in residential streets
where on-street parking is heavy and disabled persons frequently experience difficulties in finding a
parking space close to their home. There are two disabled spaces that are no longer required.
To INTRODUCE Parking Places for Disabled Badge Holders at the following locations:1. Ashburnham Road, Ampthill, west side, from the boundary of property nos.31 and 33 Ashburnham
Road extending in a northerly direction for approximately 7 metres.
2. Howard Court, Flitwick.
a) At the north-western end of the parking area located on the north-east side of Howard Court.
b) At the south-eastern end of the parking area located at the south-west end of Howard Court.
c) At the southern end of the parking area located at the western end of Howard Court.
To REMOVE existing Parking Places for Disabled Badge Holders at the following locations:1. Arthur Street, Ampthill, north-west side, at the front of no.40 Arthur Street.
2. Kendal Drive, Flitwick, south-east side, at the side of no.1 Grasmere Close and restore the No
Waiting Mon-Fri 8am-12.45pm on that length of road.
