Imtrade JETTI DUO (Trifluralin + Triallate) combines both D & J
herbicidal groups into one easy-to-use IBS pre-emergent herbicide
for the effective control of annual grass weeds in cereal cropping situations.
Trifluralin is absorbed by the roots and shoots of germinating seedlings where
it inhibits the formation of tubules in dividing cells, thus preventing cell division.
Triallate is also absorbed via the roots and shoots, with shoots being the primary contributor
to triallate uptake in the germinating seedling. Triallate binds with Acetyl co-enzyme A which
prevents cell division and elongation in the seedling. By combining these two actives, two mechanisms
are employed that inhibit mitosis (cell division) and target different bio-chemical pathways. Together, these
mechanisms provide a more rigorous chemistry for the prevention of weed germination and herbicidal resistance.
Also, Imtrade Australia’s development of a unique manufacturing process allows the two actives to partially act as the
solvents for each other, reducing the amount of hydrocarbon solvents by 80%. This innovative process has also led to trial
results indicating approximately 25% improved efficacy compared with that of the current farm practice of blending these
two actives in-tank.
IMTRADE JETTI DUO STAND-ALONE CONSIDERATIONS FOR USE
For maximum effectiveness, please use as directed and consider the following:
_ Read the label - Always read the label when considering Imtrade JETTI DUO for your pre-emergent herbicide needs.
_ Thoroughly incorporate - Imtrade JETTI DUO is most efficacious when thoroughly incorporated as an IBS treatment
in no-till systems. Adequate soil throw is required to provide optimum control in the inter-row and trailing harrows or
chains have been shown to improve efficacy.
_ Monitor efficacy - In order to aid in the reduction of herbicide resistance, any escapees from the IBS treatment should
be removed by applying a selective post-emergent herbicide prior to seed set. Take particular note of emergence in the
seeded furrow.
USE IMTRADE JETTI DUO AS A COMBO
When used as directed, Imtrade JETTI DUO can be conveniently tank-mixed with residual herbicides and insecticides to
provide multiple control options from one tank pre seeding. Always conduct a ‘jar test’ prior to tank mixing to determine
physical compatibility. Note that a jar test is not a test of chemical compatibility.
_ JETTI DUO + ATRAZINE/SIMAZINE JETTI DUO can be conveniently mixed with pre-emergent herbicides from the
Triazine group of chemistries to provide control of both annual grass weeds and broadleaf weeds.
_ JETTI DUO + PARATROOPER Use when both a burn-down and residual effect is required pre sowing where weed
germination has occurred.
_ JETTI DUO + GLYPHOSATE Use when both a knockdown and residual effect are required pre sowing where weed
germination has occurred.
_ JETTI DUO + INSECTICIDE JETTI DUO is compatible with most commonly used pre-sowing insecticides. Use when
the control of mites, cutworm and other soil-borne pests is required at seeding.
