At no charge, a counselor is available to: } Offer counseling or make referrals to more appropriate community agencies Sometimes a problem can affect you so seriously it’s hard to concentrate at work. Supervisors are encouraged to refer employees showing signs of poor performance (e.g., absenteeism, tardiness or poor morale). A supervisory referral means your manager is concerned about you and wants to offer some help if possible.
