Venue: Chiltern Woodland Burial Park, Potkiln Lane, Jordans, Beaconsfield,
Bucks HP9 2XB
Course Fee: £125 to include all course materials, handouts and light refreshments –
payable by your Area before the start of the course.
The overall aim of this course is to provide existing Cruse bereavement volunteers
who meet the pre-selection criteria (Standard 3.08B 2014) with the awareness,
knowledge and skills needed to support bereaved children and young people.
The course experience also aims:
To ensure a practical and theoretical understanding of Safe-guarding.
To increase the level of bereavement support available for children and young people
To contribute to personal learning and opportunities for reflective and supportive
practice
To encourage shared learning and networking

application. Also confirming that they have the resources and support available to provide a
children’s service [ ]
d) Two references relating to experience of working with children in an employed or voluntary
capacity [ ]

f) A cheque from your Area for £125 payable to Buckinghamshire Area Cruse [ ]

WRITING A PERSONAL PROFILE
PLEASE INCLUDE A WRITTEN PERSONAL PROFILE WITH THE
APPLICATION FORM, ATTACHING A PHOTO. THE PERSONAL PROFILE
SHOULD BE APPROXIMATELY 150 TO 250 WORDS.
Personal Profile (with photo). The aim of this is to give a picture of you as a person, e.g.
something about your life, career, experience of bereavement, what led you to apply to do this
course, and what are your expectations of the course. You could include:

NB. Please keep a copy of this as it will form part of your Portfolio for the Course.
