COUNCILLOR
Mapleton Township
My wife Elizabeth and I were
married in 1971 and have lived in
Moorefield since then. We raised
a family of three and they all live
locally. Having been born and raised on a farm, I fully
realize the importance of agriculture for Mapleton. We
need to develop our industrial land, create some jobs
and keep our young people in our community.
Organizations I am involved with include: Safe
Communities Mapleton, Crime Stoppers, Moorefield
United Church, Moorefield Optimist Club, Mapleton
parks and recreation committee, Moorefield fire
department and umpiring ball games.
Being retired, I have lots of time to devote to being
a councillor.

COUNCILLOR
Mapleton Township
I’m Angie Culp and I’m proud
to say that I’m a “lifer” here in
Mapleton. I have called Drayton
home for 35 years. Chris and
I have been married for 13 years, and we have two
wonderful daughters, Abby, 11, and Chloe, 8.
I have been a registered Insurance broker for the
past 11 years.
I believe that with my passion for our community,
professional background, open-mindedness, and thirst
for knowledge and answers, I will be able to help form a
team that will grow a community that we’ll all feel proud
of.

COUNCILLOR
Mapleton Township
I have lived in Drayton for four
years with my wife Betty and our
two young children, Payton and
Parker. Although relatively new
to Mapleton Township, I was born and raised in nearby
Elmira. I have a diploma in civil engineering and have
been employed at MTE Consultants for over 15 years,
currently as manager of our site development division.
Infrastructure spending and development will be
key issues during the coming years and Mapleton will
benefit from my work experience in these areas. I look
forward to working with staff to keep Mapleton a great
place to raise our family.
I am 35 years old and I have
lived in Moorefield since 2011
with my wife Carly and our two
boys.
I was born in Wallenstein and raised in Grey County
(Keady). I have been a paramedic for 14 years and I
currently work in Waterloo and Wellington. I am also
part of the volunteer fire department in Moorefield.
I believe Mapleton council needs a strong voice that
is hard-working, honest, credible, financially conscious
and heavy on common sense and I believe I will be that.
Having grown up in a small town I value my family
and my community.

Albert Runstedler
COUNCILLOR
Mapleton Township
I have been a proud resident
of Mapleton Township for 35
years.
My wife Cheryl and I have
raised two wonderful and successful daughters with
strong roots stemming from this community.
I am a small business owner and have been in the
construction business for 30 years.
With my leadership skills and solid business practices
I feel I can truly make a difference.
As councillor I will address taxpayer issues with a
common sense approach.
A lifelong Mapleton resident, I
live on a farm with my husband.
We have four children and three
grandchildren. I work part-time at
the Listowel Banner as a copy editor.
Community involvement is important to me. I was a
Brownie leader, on the soccer executive, involved with
Mapleton’s 10th anniversary, the Tulip Festival, the
Palmerston hospital gala, and numerous church and
school committees.
Being interested in politics, this seemed like an
opportune time to run for council. I have no particular
issue or agenda; I hope to represent all of Mapleton and
help make it the best it can be.
Albert Runstedler farmed
and owned a seed and feed
company, delivering products to
many farmers in the community.
He graduated from the University of Western Ontario,
receiving a BA in social sciences. His life education
came as a father, farmer, husband, businessman,
driver, chess player, referee and councillor. In 1991,
he moved to Drayton, bringing his many experiences.
These include chair of fire department, board member of
park and recreation committee, township representative
on Ontario Drainage Commission, and zoning. Albert
believes Mapleton is a good home and is willing to help
our community meet new and exciting challenges.

Nadia Sommerville

Nadia Sommerville has the
drive to work for our community
as your councillor. Current board
member of the Drayton Kinette’s
and the Drayton Youth Centre
(DYC), volunteer for the DYC Mud Run, Mapleton
Rodeo, and other community events.
As a passionate activist to help others in need,
works part-time at an autism support service in addition
to advocating for our community. If elected to council,
main goals will be to implement changes for a better
future, control spending, building up social programs,
using available federal and provincial resources for
community projects, and by implementing plans to
promote local business and create local jobs.

Martin Tamlyn
COUNCILLOR
Mapleton Township
I have lived in Mapleton
Township for 15 years with my
wife Cathy Kipp and two boys.
I have always been an active
member of the community; coaching soccer, teaching
and coordinating local initiatives that support family
farms. I currently work for the County of Wellington’s
Green Legacy Program.
I believe the role of council is to make well-informed
decisions that always consider the social, economic
and environmental implications of the community. As
councillor, one of my goals would be to encourage an
efficient decision making process, so that we may help
community projects move forward in a timely manner.

Lori Woodham
COUNCILLOR
Mapleton Township
I live with my husband Alwyn
and our son Conner, who is 9,
on a farm outside of Moorefield
Even though I haven’t grown up
here, Mapleton Township feels
like home to me. I like to volunteer and help out at
Conner’s school, and I am the property manager of the
seniors apartment building in Moorefield. Since I work
from home, I feel I have the time to invest as an active
councillor on your behalf.
I’m asking for your vote because I believe in the
small town rural community lifestyle which Mapleton
offers - something I feel we should preserve.
