Topworth Pipes & Tubes Pvt. Ltd.” (TPTPL) is an ISO 9001 accredited
company engaged in manufacturing HSAW pipes, ERW steel pipes and
Square & Rectangular hollow sections.
The plant has total installed capacity of 375,000 MTPA and is strategically locat
ed near Khopoli, around 80 Km away from Mumbai, India. The nearest port JNPT is around 70 km away from the plant. The plant is spread across an area
of 181,376 sq mtrs having HSAW, ERW and Coating facilities.
The facility has modern high speed, state-of-the-art two step Spiral Pipe Mill to
manufacture large diameter Spiral (HSAW) pipes with an in house External &
Internal Coating plant supplied by M/s Initech Machinery Ltd, Korea.
The facility also has a new ERW Pipe mill to manufacture ERW steel pipes and
Square & Rectangular Hollow Sections from ½" to 4" diameter. The raw
material used is HR Coils & the welding process used is HFIW process with the
help of High Frequency Induction Welder of Japanese technology, to give an
excellent weld joint & controlled internal bead height. The facility also has an inhouse Hot-dip Galvanizing plant to supply both ERW Black Pipes & Galvanized
steel pipes.

HSAW (Helical Submerged Arc Welded Pipes) finds various applications and uses in Gas, Crude Oil / Petroleum
transportation, Water supply, Sewerage disposal, etc.
To meet the growing demand of pipes for critical and non-critical applications, Topworth offers high quality HSAW
Pipes conforming to internationally accepted quality standards like API , BIS, AWWA, ASTM, EN etc.

Our mill is one of the few in the world that are designed and equipped with necessary equipment to meet the future
challenges & demand for Gr. X80 Line pipes.
The plant is equipped with latest technology from the World's best equipment suppliers. Spiral pipe mill's technology
and design is provided by ATIS Germany (now known as Schuler, AG) & supplied by M/s Initech Machinery Ltd.,
Korea. It is the only mill in India having capability to roll even API Gr. X 100 pipes.”
To manufacture spiral welded pipes, Topworth uses the two-step manufacturing process. 1st step: Pipe Forming &
2nd step: Off-line welding. We have 3 off-line latest technology welding stations supplied by ESAB, Sweden.

Special Features Of Our Spiral Pipe Mill:
· Cross seam joining done in two step after edge preparation - by milling followed by SAW Tandem Welding, thus
giving the best joint.
· Auto weld seam laser tracking system with automatic gap control system - for better and consistent pipe quality.
· High speed forming & auto plasma cutting m/c with speed upto 10mpm.
· Latest technology 3 off-line welding stations supplied by ESAB, Sweden
· Fully automatic Hydro tester with max. pressure capacity of 350 bar and force of 4000 MT – supplied by INITECH,
Korea.
· Latest technology Ultrasonic testing machines
from GE, Germany for Full body,
seam weld & HAZ UT Testing.
· Latest RTR and X-ray
equipments
from GE.
Corrosion Coating:
Corrosion protection is a critical element contributing to the lifespan of steel pipelines and is becoming increasingly popular
where corrosion & mechanical protection of pipelines is required.
This may require simple external paint coating or sophisticated external & internal coatings. The Corrosion coating
facilities available at our plant are as follows:

Our Mill is approved by DNV for CE Marking (EN 10255 CE Cert.).
ERW Pipes can be supplied as black, or varnished or galvanized as per various standards like IS 1239, IS 1161, IS 4923,
BS 1387, EN 39 etc. in lengths up to 7.6 meters, as per mutual agreement.
The ERW pipes supplied are of world class quality with an excellent weld joint & controlled internal bead height. The
Galvanized pipes supplied are by using Hot-dip Galvanizing process as per the various International standards.
The plant has well-equipped lab having UT Machine & Spectrometer (using high resolution array of multiple CCD & multi
optic).

Quality Assurance:
Topworth's integrated laboratory is fully equipped with the latest in piping products and coating test apparatus and
technology, including the latest large capacity Universal Testing Machine, Charpy Impact Tester, spectro-machine
among others.
By offering a full range of test and inspection in accordance with API, ASTM and other International standards, the
laboratory can perform independent metallurgical, mechanical and chemical testing in accordance with International
standards.
The nucleus of the laboratory consists of fully trained and experienced technicians and inspectors who are well versed
in the stringent requirements of API Specification
NDT Technology & equipment like Coil Ultrasonic Testing Machine, Real Time Radiography machine, Automatic
Ultrasonic Testing machine and X-ray machines are from GE Technologies. The Hydrostatic Tester & End Chamfering
Machine is supplied by Initech Machinery Ltd, Korea.
