Supplemental Information
Necco is a family company that serves at-risk youth through therapeutic foster care, alternatives to secure detention, independent living, in-home,
mental health, and more. We believe in harnessing the power of a strong family, experienced staff, and a robust community to make a positive
and lasting difference in a child’s life. Working with foster parents, state workers, service providers and community resources we provide a
holistic approach to children’s services that stands to benefit not only the child, but the community as a whole.
Our therapeutic foster care program currently provides treatment foster care placements for youth ages birth to 21 years and includes: intensive
in-home case management, comprehensive treatment planning, 24-hour emergency assistance & ongoing support, after school and summer
programming, independent living programming, mental health evaluations, individual and group therapy (as appropriate), frequent outings for
foster families and experienced, helpful, friendly staff including licensed therapists and other professionals. We serve a wide range of youth
populations including the most difficult children and those with a history of severe mental health issues and/or criminally delinquent behaviors.
We strive for a 24-hour response on all referrals.

Psychiatric Services
All youth receive an Initial Assessment at placement to assess for immediate psychiatric needs. Necco staff coordinates with local physicians and
contracted psychiatrist to provide medication management services for the youth we serve. Youth are typically seen for medication management
services within the first thirty days and/or when their current prescription requires an appointment for medication monitoring or assessing. Foster
parents are trained in Necco’s internal medication management curriculum. Necco staff monitor and support the youth and foster parent to ensure
that medication management and documentation is consistent.

Describe How the Program Supports Family Connections
At Necco . . . We Build Families! We know the Power of Family and we work with each youth to strengthen family bonds and connections. Each
youth has a permanency goal as part of their individualized treatment plan. Not all youth are able to return to their bio parents or even a bio family
member home, but we seek to strengthen family bonds (parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, cousins, etc.) whenever possible. We
work with the youth’s state worker, foster parents and family to provide face-to-face visits (supervised and unsupervised as ordered), telephone
contact and home visits (as allowed). The youth’s treatment plan includes (as individualized to need and circumstances) goals and objectives
related to strengthening bonds with family and other pro-social adults. Family counseling is provided as indicated by each youth’s treatment plan.
Special Interventions Available Internally
In addition to weekly case management services, treatment planning and 24-hour crisis support Necco provides a wide range of specialized
therapy interventions. Our highly trained counselors, clinicians and therapists work alongside case managers, state workers, foster parents, and
other stakeholders to provide quality services that include goal-directed, psychosocial treatment and support to youth and their families.
