ELIGIBILITY
The UT Arlington Fall Keyboard Contest is open to piano soloists grades 1-12, piano concerto soloists grades 7-12, and organ
soloists grades 9-12, residing in and attending school in the state of Texas. Contestants compete in divisions based on their current
school grade and may compete in no more than two of the three categories: piano solo, piano concerto, organ solo.
REPERTOIRE
PIANO SOLO: An original work from the standard piano repertoire suitable to the student's length of study. Students may enter
one piece, or a group of pieces from one opus number, which must not exceed 10 minutes in length. Memorization is required.
The original score, with measures numbered, must be provided for the judge.
PIANO CONCERTO: An original work from the standard piano concerto repertoire suitable to the student's length of study.
Students may enter one movement of a concerto. Memorization is required. The original score, with measures numbered, must be
provided for the judge. Concerto contestants must provide their own accompanist.
ORGAN SOLO: An original work from the standard organ repertoire, especially works of J.S. Bach, which must not exceed 10
minutes in length. Memorization is not required. The original score, with measures numbered, must be provided for the judge.
DIVISIONS (Determined by school grades)
PIANO SOLO:
Division I (grades 1-2),
Division IV (grades 7-8),
Division II (grades 3-4),
Division V (grades 9-10),
PIANO CONCERTO:
Division VII (grades 7-9),
Division VIII (grades 10-12).
ORGAN SOLO:
Division IX (grades 9-10),
Division X (grades 11-12).
Division III (grades 5-6),
Division VI (grades 11-12).
AWARDS
Each entrant will receive a Certificate of Merit, a Critique from the judge, and a free T-shirt.
All entrants who receive a rating of "Recital" will be presented in a public recital at Irons Recital Hall
on Saturday, November 8th beginning at 6:00p.m.
Following the Honors Recital trophies will be presented to all recitalists, and medals will be presented
to the winner of each of the 10 divisions.
ENTRANCE FEE & APPLICATION DEADLINE
Entrance Fee: $30 per application
Students who compete in 2 categories: $50
Please complete one application per entrant, or two applications if student will compete in 2 categories.
Entrance Fees should accompany application form which must be received by Monday, October 27, 2014.

TEACHER NOTIFICATION
Teachers will be notified of their students' assigned audition times and room numbers by November 1, 2014.

The UT Arlington Department of Music (700 Greek Row, 76019) is located one block west of Cooper Street on the corner of Greek
Row Street and Nedderman Drive. Directions: From I-30, go South on Cooper, west on UTA Boulevard, south on Nedderman.
From I-20, go north on Cooper, west on Nedderman Drive. Parking is available at the corner of Greek Row Street and
Nedderman Drive.
