Paystub Codes This is a brief explanation of your paystubs and the deduction/reduction codes: Paid time off (PTO) is recorded in hours. Vacation leave (VACAT) is recorded in days. The “PROFE” under leave is “Professional”. The column “left” includes days/hours to be earned during this contract year. “OP” means “other pay” (such as shift differential, working in a different location, etc.). Health, dental, and vision insurance premiums, as well as medical and dependent care reimbursements, are taken out of your pay pre-tax as reductions, unless paid by the district as a benefit.
