you, brethren, as it is meet, because that
your faith groweth exceedingly...” (2 Thess
1:3). “And the apostles said unto the Lord,
Increase our faith” (Lu 17:5)
I
t is my earnest desire and prayer that
the whole Lighthouse BBC membership manifest an increasing
faith this second quarter of the year. And not just to a point but to
be ever increasing - just like Paul’s thanksgiving for the believers in
Thessalonica - a faith that grows exceedingly. How can we not have such a desire when
the Apostles themselves prayed to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
The Lord has blessed our church tremendously through the first quarter of this year
with the focus, Growing in the Word. And through this period, we have seen our people
learn how to really believe God’s Word and to firmly stand in it. We have seen and heard
of testimonies of how Lighthouse people learned to obey and take God’s Word as it is,
regardless of any circumstances in life.
As we all know, it is by the Word of God that faith comes to a person. As the Word is
planted, the thing that grows in our lives is faith. The deeper we go into God’s Word, the
more our faith increases. And from the faith that saved, we want to see such faith
increasing and working in our lives. I say, Let us see within this period increasing faith as
a result of our growing in the Word!
