Fall 2014
Dear Gatelot Families,
Welcome to another fabulous year at Gatelot Avenue Elementary School! We have certainly hit the
ground running and the staff and students have nestled into the new school year quite nicely.
I am excited that the Sachem School District has adopted the Schoolwide reading program to help our
students successfully meet the standards set forth by the state. The teachers are excited by the
adoption of this program as they feel it is much more user friendly and developmentally more appropriate then the modules we implemented last year. The students are enjoying the literature that accompanies this series as they work hard to meet and excel with the standards.
The district has also gone full force with the 7 Habits this year so you can look forward to seeing the
language of the habits embodied in lessons and homework.
As a reminder, Gatelot (and the entire district) has done green. Please be sure you go on to the website to register to receive email via eG@telot. Please be sure to check the website, daily, for updates
and information. We are aware of the “growing pains” of going green and are trying to make it as
painless as possible by also utilizing the School Messenger automated calls, the Sachem Friends Website, and the Gatelot PTA Facebook page (thank you Mrs. O’Rourke!) as other avenues of getting information out.
I continue to be amazed by our hard working PTA. If you have not yet done so, please be sure to join
the PTA and consider volunteering to help with even one event. The fall fundraiser was a HUGE success! The money raised by this fundraiser will allow the PTA to continue to pay for the entrance into
the many wonderful places they arrange for our students to visit. Please be aware that the PTA cannot pay the cost of transportation. Please be mindful that the drop in enrollment, coupled with the
rising cost of booking the busses, has caused the price of the transportation to rise. Unfortunately
this is out of our control; however, the teachers and PTA consistently look for ways to make this cost
as painless as possible, while still giving our students some very exciting experiences!
Thank you to Mrs. Rosenberg for agreeing to put the Gatelot Gazette together once again. This is
quite a task and she makes it look seamless!
I look forward to working with the students, staff and parents this year to help the students “Care to
Achieve…………Dare to Excel”.
Proud Principal,
Denise Kleinman

Kindergarten Happenings
We can’t believe two months have already gone by! The kindergarten children have worked very hard on learning the routines and rules of school.
They are currently learning all lowercase letters and sounds. We started a
new program this year that teaches your child how to be a reader and
writer. Currently, your children are able to tell a story by using illustrations
and are beginning to have conversations about the text. They are using
words like “I noticed…, I agree…, I disagree…” to help them become
thoughtful and proficient speakers. In writing, your children are learning
how to illustrate a story over several pages and they are learning the importance of adding details to help the reader understand their message. In
math, students are learning how to count and write numbers 0-10 and are
learning how to determine between more than and fewer than. During science, we are learning about weather and seasons. We are also trying to
become responsible for our own actions by being proactive. The first two
months have been great! Can’t wait to see how much they grow!
First Grade News
We can’t believe it’s already November! We have been super busy in first grade. The first grade teachers are
excited to be starting our new ELA program. The first graders are learning to become independent readers and
writers. In math we have been working on addition and subtraction topics. Please continue to drill addition
and subtraction facts at home. Flashcards are a great tool to use at home with your child to help build up their
fluency in this area. In social studies we learned about what it means to be a good citizen in our school and our
community. We learned about Christopher Columbus and in the upcoming weeks we will be learning about
Election Day, Veteran’s Day and the First Thanksgiving. In science we are learning about matter (solids, liquids
and gases), their properties and changes in matter. We are looking forward to our first field trip of the school
year to Benner’s Farm. Special thanks to the PTA for the Gatelot Pumpkin Patch. Each child from kindergarten
to fifth grade was able to choose a pumpkin to take home. The first graders were so excited!
Second Grade Activities
The Second Grade has been off to a busy start this school year!
In Science, students blasted off the year learning about the Solar System. They learned much about the phases of
the moon, Earth’s rotation and orbit of the sun. Students enjoyed a trip to the galaxy during our in-house field trip
to “Skylab”. Thank you to the Cultural Arts Committee for coordinating the event.
In Math, students have enjoyed the challenges of addition and subtraction. They have pushed themselves to improve their fluency and better understand many strategies necessary to add and subtract.
Students have been engaged in the launch of our reading and writing programs. Through writer’s workshop students are acquiring the necessary skills to gain independence. The students are enjoying writing and sharing their
personal experiences. In reading, students are learning the fundamentals through a balanced literacy framework.
They are reading and reviewing various texts to enhance their understanding of the reading process.
In Social Studies, students have begun their journey into the life of the Native Americans. They are learning about
how Native Americans relied on the Earth to survive and how they became North America’s first farmers, builders,
artists, healers, and astronomers. They are excited about the upcoming trip to Caleb Smith State Park Preserve
where they will learn hands-on how the Native Americans lived.

Third Grade Goings-on
The third graders are “falling” in love with our Reading and Writing Workshop. In our Reading Workshop, we are
finishing up our Launch Unit where the students learned strategies such as Visualizing and Making Connections
in order to become strong readers. This year we are focusing on moving from “word readers” to “close readers”
who read for meaning. During Writing Workshop, the children are immersed in mentor texts to learn how writers develop meaningful pieces. We also enjoyed listening to everyone’s fictional suspense stories titled, In the
Old Abandoned House, where the students used a writing strategy called “The Magic of Three.” We are looking
forward to our first field trip to Safety Town where students will learn pedestrian and bicycle safety. It’s
been a great start to our third grade year!
Check out our writing on
pages 10-12!!
Fourth Grade Events
Welcome back! The Fourth Grade students are off to an exciting start. We visited
Brookhaven National Laboratory where we had the opportunity to experience hands-on activities in Spectroscopy, Electricity and MagLev. We also went to the Long Island Fair at Old Bethpage Village. There we
learned what life was like on Long Island in the 1800’s. We visited a General Store, an Inn & Saloon, the
blacksmith, a one room school house, a working farm with the largest pigs we’ve ever seen and so much
more! In the classroom, the students have been working diligently on growing as readers and writers. Learning a variety of strategies and examining many wonderful mentor texts. Check out some of our
favorites at the library, such as Albert by Donna Jo Napoli or Tomas and the Library Lady by Pat Mora. We’re excited to find out what we’re reading next and the new experiences in store for us this
year! ~The Fourth Grade

Fifth Grade Endeavors
Fifth grade students have already had a busy and exciting few weeks this year. First they rode a ferry from
Sayville to Sailor’s Haven on Fire Island. While there, parents and students walked through the Sunken Forest
(one of only 2 in our country), finally meeting at the beach for lunch, digging and shell collecting. After enjoying
the beautiful weather and views at the beach, everyone hiked back to the ferry for a pleasant ride home. A
couple of weeks later, students practiced working cooperatively as they navigated Adventures in Peacemaking
challenges at Sachem North. The Mohawk Trail, Whale Watch, Buddy Walkers and Nitro Crossing proved to be challenging,
fun and exhilarating.
Students and teachers are all enjoying the new Schoolwide Reading and Writing program. Everyone is looking forward to
reading published pieces about a special memory or experience. All of 5 th grade has already written informative, persuasive
and narrative pieces about the Sunken Forest. When the Schoolwide Launch unit is completed at the end of October, we will
begin a nonfiction unit with a focus on biographies.
Whenever you visit Gatelot, you might see bright orange t-shirts or hear students doing morning announcements. That’s the
fifth graders proudly wearing their unique class shirts and showing off their leadership skills. This will prove to be a busy
year as we plan more trips, read and write various genres, mentor the younger students and prepare for middle school. The
students will surely have a memorable last year at Gatelot!
Art News
Fall has arrived in the art room. The kindergarteners are Silly Spiders. The first graders are creating a
Johnny Appleseed tree. They will use crumpled tissue paper to create the leaves. They will add crumpled tissue paper apples as their finishing touch. The second graders created sponge painted Fall
Trees. The third graders are creating an Abandoned House which will be an illustration to go with the
writing they are creating in their classrooms. The fourth graders are creating Monsters in My Closet
illustrations. These closets are inspired by the book There is a Nightmare in My Closet by Mercer Mayer. The fifth graders are creating Fall Perspective Drawings colored with colored pencils and watercolor paint. They will create a landscape with three-dimensional items. They will also add fall items such
as pumpkins, a barrel of apples, and or a scarecrow, etc. I am looking forward to decorating the halls
with our fall artwork.

Band
The Gatelot Band is off to a great start this year. 4th and 5th Grade Band students and parents are encouraged to visit the Band website accessible at http://gatelotband.weebly.com or by navigating through the
Gatelot school homepage for practice tips, lesson schedules, documents, and other important information.
5th Grade Band rehearsals are Monday and Thursday mornings at 8:15. The 5 th Grade Band students are
working hard to prepare for the Gatelot Winter Concert, which we encourage the community and school
to attend on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the Samoset Middle School Auditorium. We hope to see you there!
Chorus
The fourth and
Music
Mrs. Lehmann is very pleased with how much the students learned in music
class this last month. Kindergarten students practiced using their voices in
different ways and continued to work on keeping a steady beat. First graders worked on counting rhythms. Second graders began learning to name
notes and rests. Third graders also worked on notes and rests as well as
naming the lines and spaces. They are preparing to learn the recorder
which is coming up next in music class! The fourth and fifth graders learned
how to follow a piece of chorus music. They now can label the soprano line,
the alto line and the piano part. The third, fourth and fifth grade classes
have all been studying composers, as well. Each month throughout the year
they will be learn about a different composer. The students also will be comparing and contrasting these talented individuals in history. The fifth graders even created a composer folder. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was the
composer of the month for October. November's composer is George
Frederic Handel. Keep up the good work in music, Gatelot!
fifth grade chorus has been working diligently toward their performance in December. The music
is really beginning to come together.
The piece entitled
"Hanukkah Shalom" is sounding
beautiful. Mrs. Lehmann is so
proud of the students for being
able to acquire the skills necessary to sing the song "Fa La La"
correctly. It is an upbeat, song
filled with staccato (detached)
notes that the group sings almost
professionally. We all are looking
forward to the concert in December.
Keep up the great work

PLAYBILL - GATELOT ORCHESTRA
The Gatelot Orchestra is making a joyful noise in lessons and rehearsals! Be prepared to be 'wowed' by our
5th grade Band and Orchestra and our 4th and 5th grade Chorus at our Holiday Concert on December
15th!
Our beginners are learning all different playing techniques and beginning to make
some music! It is especially at these times that these new techniques can become
frustrating to any beginner musician, but guess what: IT’S OKAY 
Beginner students are learning how to play an entirely new instrument and will
not become professionals overnight. With parental support and 20 minutes of
practice every day for homework, that frustration will turn into fun and success!
Here is the practice tip of the month:
Practice the solution ... not the problem!
Do not make the mistake of repeating passages over and over, continuing to
make the same mistakes. You're only furthering the problem by practicing the
mistake!
· Slow it down ...
· Think about it ...
· Think about why it's difficult for you ...
· Figure out what you need to do differently to solve the problem.
· Then, practice the solution!

Fall 2014
Welcome back to school and the library! I missed Gatelot very much and it is wonderful to be
part of this amazing family once again : ) Over the next few months, we will be very busy. Kindergarten will be learning about fiction and non-fiction and how the library is organized. First
grade is learning about the parts of a story and studying an amazing author: Kate DiCamillo.
Second grade is learning how to choose “just right” books and how to find books independently
in the library. Third grade is concentrating on the Dewey Decimal System and the OPAC and
fourth grade is busy skimming and scanning and evaluating websites. Fifth grade is just finishing up a unit on primary and secondary sources and soon we will be focusing on wikis and plagiarism. I have an exciting year planned filled with lots of fun interactive projects. Stay tuned
for the next newsletter!
ESL
The Gatelot English as a Second Language Program has gotten off to a wonderful start this year. We welcomed
new students and enjoyed reuniting with old friends. Our beginner students have been busy learning English for daily
use and basic vocabulary. Our intermediate and advanced students have been improving their English language skills in
speaking, listening, reading, and writing to give them the tools to be successful in content-areas. We are truly fortunate to
have the cultural diversity that our students and their families bring to the Gatelot school community!
BLT
ReesSpecht Life
In keeping with our building’s theme this year, “Gatelot Cultivates Kindness”, the BLT put on
an assembly for all grades on October 10th. At this assembly, Mrs. Kleinman read, “A Little Rees
Specht Cultivates Kindness” by Richard Specht. This book illustrates how important it is to help one
another, be kind to others, and to “pay it forward”.
At the end of the assembly every student was given a “ReesSpecht” card and an assignment.
The students were asked to help spread the seeds of kindness. We discussed different ways how we
can be nice to one another, help one another and “pay it forward”. Students are asked to pass their
“ReesSpecht” card to someone else after they have been kind and have “paid it forward”.
It is essential to remind students that it’s important to be kind and “pay it forward” whether
you have a card to pass along or not. We know our students will help spread the seed of kindness
and help carry out the ReesSpecht message.

Welcome back to our students! We were happy to be back
in our gym after the summer vacation, but unfortunately we are
out of our gym again due to repairs. However, our gym is going
to look better than ever. A new floor and new paint awaits us!
Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Breast
Cancer walk-a-thon. We raised over $500 dollars. We loved
seeing students and parents wearing pink, singing to the music
and walking our hallways. It’s always a great event that gets
everyone moving and helps raise awareness. Way to go Gatelot!
We are looking forward to another great year. We have already started planning our Jump Rope for Heart event, which is
always a great success. The Dance program will be back again
where students can test their dance moves while following along
with a computer system. Our fourth and fifth grade students
worked hard on their physical fitness testing and they are working hard to improve their scores come May.
Remember every day to try and take at least 10,000 steps
to stay healthy!
From the PTA to you:
We’ve had a wonderful start to the school year, and it’s hard to believe that fall is finally
upon us. With this being the month of “thanks” I would like to start by thanking everyone that
has joined the PTA this year and welcome back those of you that have been long time members. We have a returning executive board this year. They are Wendi Calabria Vice President,
Vicki Reiderer, Treasurer, Carol Heffren, Corresponding Secretary and Christienne O’Rourke,
Recording Secretary. I would like to thank each of them for the time and effort they put into
making the Gatelot PTA a very special group that always has what’s best for our students at the
heart of all they do.
To all of our volunteers, too numerous to mention individually, thank you! Thank you for
being class parents, chairing events, running fundraisers, putting together wonderful newsletters, and working tirelessly behind the scenes. We couldn’t do it without your help. I appreciate all of the long hours you dedicate to making our school a special place, and I hope the
smiles on our student’s faces remind you of just how much you are appreciated.
There have been a lot of fun things happening around Gatelot these days too. Our students have enjoyed many things just since the start of the school year. From pumpkin patches
in the Gatelot courtyard to unique field trips, and there’s so much more to come. Our Chinese
Auction, WINGO, Mother/daughter brunch at Villa Lombardi’s , Father/son event to name a few.
Please know that all we do as a PTA goes directly back to our students and our school. Our goal
is to enrich their educational experiences, and hopefully their lives. We encourage you to join
the “Official Gatelot Avenue PTA “ facebook page and check the Gatelot website for all of the
latest PTA happenings.
Finally, thank you to Mrs. Kleinman and the entire Gatelot staff for your constant support. I think I can speak for everyone by letting you know how much we appreciate all of you
for making our events a priority and making us feel like family when we are in the building.
Wishing all of our Gatelot families a very happy and healthy holiday season.
Warm Regards,

One Halloween night on the year of 2014. My friends and I were walking in the dark creepy woods.
The wind picked up and the leaves started falling off trees. Suddenly my legs started to itch. I lloked down
and saw I was standing in a patch of posion ivy. As we walked our eyes started to hurt from the bright full
moon. We kept on walking on the dark spooky path. The path stopped. We reached an old house. We wanted
to know what was inside of this spookey house. We knockee on the door. There was no answer so we let ourselves in.
Suddenly, I saw a shadow running threw the hallway. I turned around but nothing was there. I
stopped and examined around the room. The next thing I knew something hairy tickeld the back of my legs. I
reached down to scratch my legs but nothing was there. My chest started to pound. I felt like I ran 20 miles.
Out of nowhere I heard footsteps stomping. The bangs were getting louder. I turned around again. And I saw
a hairy furry warewolf staring at me.
In The Old Abandoned House
Elizabeth Miessmer 3-4
It was a dark and gloomy Halloween night, when all alone I approached the last house on the block. It
was set far back in the bare trees and had cracked windows. As I got closer I thought to myself “Why did I
have to get lost from all of the other kids I was trick or treating with?” It seemed that all of the doors were
boarded up except for the damp wooden gate. I stepped onto the gate’s stone path. It let to the one door on
the house that was not boarded up. As I was about to turn the knob, I heard an ear splitting screech. I was
scared to step in, but my imagination got the best of me. I hesitated to step in, but I did. I heard the gemmed
curtains jingling from the wind outside. As I kept walking a little bit, I notived lit candlesticks. I also noticed
broken dishes. As I walked though the foyer, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a shadowy figure coming toward me. Never mind I think it was just my shadow from the light of the moon. Even though I thought it was
just me, my knees were still shaking. When I went further and further through the first floor, I noticed a
clump of hair on the floor. I’m guessing the person who used to live here had a cat or a dog. I picked up the
clump of hair (yuck) and threw it away. I was still scared and I got the chills down my spine. I walked up the
spiral staircase. When I got to the top, I felt something sharp on my neck. I turned around and saw a werewolf. I screamed when I saw it. When I stoped screaming, my sister took off her mask, I was furius but I stil
couldn’t resist laughing. When my sister and I started talking, her friends jumped out. My stomach jumped,
because I was so scared and I had forgoten that my sister and her friends were trying to scare me. All together, we walked home and had ice cream.
Henry Joseph 3-2
One night me and my brothers Miner, Sam, and Angus were in a dark forest going on a
. It was a
dark full moon night before Halloween. It was cold and shadowy because of clouds passing by the full moon.
We were on a Quest for the sacred Halloween treasure. We saw a glow in the trees. We thought that it was
just from our torch. But then we got a little closer and found out that it really was, a huge dark scary castle!
“This had to be the place I thought.” So I checked my wheapons and gear because there are supposed to be
three gardians of the treasure. I told my brothers that we were going inside. When we went to the big doors
of the castle, they suddenly opend and blew the torch out and sucked us in the dark scary castle! The doors
slamed shut behind us. I saw 3 goblins armed with swords I quickly drew my sword and started to fight
against all three of them! I told my brothers to stay back. Then I tripped the goblins and jumped on them. I
tied them up with ropes. Then we started to walk further into the castle. I heard a big stomping and banging
sound. In front of me! I hoped it wasen't what I thought it was. But it is a 13 feet hiy troll! With a spiked club!
I told my brothers to use their bows and arrows to fire at the rampaging troll. I got my mace and smashed it
as hard as I could on the trolls foot. It let out a shreik of pain and fell over with a humanges THUD! I quickly
threw a sleeping bone into its mouth and made it go into a deep sleep. Phew! I shared my way threw the vampire bats and spider and
. And found myself face to face with a gigantic ghost night! I told my brothers
to stay where they were. The giant ghost night drew his huge sword I drew mine and deflected a two hand
cut wich could have sliced me in two. Then it attacked. It was jabing at me and giving me wounds with every
atack. Then it nocked me down I thought that all was lost but just then 3 flaming arrows came shirling over
my head and struck the ghost night in the chest and defeated it. My brothers are the ones who shot the arrows. They came running to help me with my several wounds when I was all fixed up I asked my brothers to
help me find the secret door. We felt around for awhile then I found it and saw the Halloween treasure! I
picked it up and brought it back home. I guess there will be a Halloween after all.
Riley Hetman 3-1
It was a spooky, scary Halloween night. I was trick or treating with my 2 cousins Gracie and Kate. There
was lots of bats flying around the streets. Kate saw a shadow and followed it. Me and gracie followed her because we had to stay together. Kate kept running and running We followed behind. Then after turning the
corner we saw a creepy abandoned house. We stopped and looked at it. We all decied to go in. Grace stepped
on the rug and twisted the blue door knob but there was a key hole. We couldn’t get in. Then I looked under
the rug and saw a key to the hole. So I opened it and we were in. It was cold, Then, I heard bones a felt a cold
air. We were all scared! Then we all looked for a lightswitch but all we found was yucky spider webs. We all
spotted stairs. We decied to go up. I went and climbed them. Then we found a door and decided to go in. I
turned the doorknob and there was skeleton. Then he stood up and said “you better run otherwise I will chase
you three.” Then we all turned around and ran out of the house completely.
Andrew Metzger 3One day Andrea, Phil, Andrew and Paige went to a haunted house on a dark, forbidden
graveyard off of Route 25A. It was a dark, mysterious night, October 31, 1872. Phil was driving the car when we were going to Grandmas house but he made a wrong turn and ended up
at a haunted house. He thought it was Grandmas new house. Andrew and Paige to go in but
Andrea was frightend to go in. All of a sudden an old womaen yelled come in. We went inside
but the old women was not Grandma.
Suddenly we looked around the house. When we got to the dining room we heard a loud
scream. We examined the room and we heard a voice. The voice said “Watch your back.” But
in the corner they found a record player playing spooky music. Then they went in the living
room. They saw blood on the wall. Paige screamed very loud she started to cry. Andrew felt
the blood and tasted blood. He realized it was just tomato sauce. Then they found the stairs.
We decided to go upstairs. They heard weird noises. Andrea ran downstairs to get out but the
door was bolted shut. She screamed “WALLY KUNKS” and went back upstairs. Andrew and Phil
found a bedroom. The 4 of us went in the bedroom. They sat on the bed. Phil felt something
touch his legs. He heard something say “Come out come out wherever you are”. Andrew and
Paige looked under the bed and a friendly vampire popped out and said “Happy Halloween”!

A time I felt happy was when I won the Stanley Cup. The Stanley Cup is the Hockey
Championship. It is so special to me because it is a big accomplishment. One reason I remember this moment is because it was against out biggest enemies, the Marauders. They
have been trying to beat us for years. They were winning 1-0 with one minute left and then
we scored. The game was going to overtime. There was 30 seconds left and we scored! We
won the game 2-1. We went on to the next season and we played the Marauders again and
we beat them again the first game of the season. The Marauders fans were really mad.

A time I will never forget is two years ago when I went camping over the summer
break. I went with my aunt, my uncle, my mom, my dad and my two brothers, Diego and
Dario. My aunt and my uncle have a camper boat. I always use our tent. When we got there
me and my brothers went fishing with my uncle. We used fake purple worms. Even though
they weren’t real they were gross!! Whenever I tried to throw my hook into the water I got it
caught on something. It got stuck in a tree on my uncle’s pants and my mom’s shirt. When I
finally got it into the water, I got something. When I pulled it in I realized it was just a lot of
seaweed. Then I threw it in again and I caught a fish. My fish was small and black but I was
still very happy. My older brother caught a fish too and it was a little bigger and silver. My
uncle carefully took our fish off the hooks and put them into a bucket of
water. My little brother didn’t catch anything and my uncle didn’t either.
When my little brother looked inside the bucket and when he saw the
fish he said, “We got dinner!” We all laughed and my uncle put the fish
back inside the lake and we all started playing. I really enjoyed going
fishing.
The Hudson River
By Zoey Gulotta 4-2
The Hudson River is important for many reasons. The first one is its size. The Hudson
River is one of New York’s largest rivers. The Hudson River is 300 miles long. When the Mohawk River joins the Hudson River it becomes deep enough for ships to sail. The Hudson River has many tributaries. The largest tributary is the Mohawk River. Another reason the Hudson River is important is its location. The mouth of a river means the end of the river. The
mouth of the Hudson River is the Atlantic Ocean. The source of a river means the beginning.
The source of the Hudson River is high in the Adirondack Mountains. The Hudson River flows
from North to South across New York State. Another reason is its use as a transportation
route. The Indians use the Hudson River to trade with each other. Soon, the English, then
the Dutch used it to trade also. The Hudson River is now used to ship goods and people. The
Hudson River is important for many reasons, its size, location and use as a transportation
route.
Brown Belt
By Joseph Santoro 4-2
This was my 5th belt in karate. It is my favorite belt of all. This is my story of getting
my brown belt. I was the first one at my karate school. I put my bag on the floor and took
pictures of me with my dad. Then I talked to my friends and started practicing form and selfdefense. Next, Mrs. Ward lined us up and she got us warmed up (push-ups and jumping
jacks). Then I went to the back of the room. First I did my form. Then I did sparing with Edward. Then I went up and got my brown belt. I also go my new schedule. I was so excited
when I heard I was going to be with the black belts! Finally, I went home and decided where
to go to eat.

The

The Best Ride Ever – “Small Moment story”
By, Evan San Filippo Class 4-3
It was the best ride ever at Disney World.
I was so frightened at first to go on this ride.
There were
cannons firing. It sounded like a gun shot was going off. The boat was moving very calmly, and then a second later
there was a fire. It was bursting. The people tried to put the fire out. The fire was as hot as a really hot day.
After minutes later, they managed to put the fire out. Then, the pirates came and they were chasing the people.
It was very funny.
After that it was almost over.
At the end, when the pirates weren’t paying attention, Jack
silently stole all the gold. This pirate ride was the best ride ever at Disney World.
