he Scania stand will be in its usual place in hall
17, laid out with three environments that show
how Scania and its vehicles can serve both Scania
customers and the public. Focus will be on people,
communication, solutions, fuel efficiency and Euro 6
offerings.
The urban area covers Scania’s offerings for goods and
passenger transport in a city environment. One of the
exhibited vehicles is the Scania Citywide bus, which makes
its first appearance at IAA. There is also a refuse collector
chassis and a distribution truck with box body.
The long-distance area covers truck and bus transport
solutions from Scania. On display are several Euro 6
vehicles, including an Ecolution by Scania specified
vehicle, a regional/long haulage tractor with a gas engine
and a Scania OmniExpress 3.20 which world premieres
at IAA. The R 480, winner of the Green Truck Award 2012
and an eye-catching V8, 730 horsepower truck, is also on
display.

The IAA Commercial Vehicles fair in Hannover, Germany,
is the leading international trade fair for mobility, transportation
and logistics. The origins of the IAA (Internationale AutomobilAusstellung) can be traced back to 1897 when eight motor vehicles were exhibited to the public at the Bristol Hotel in Berlin.
This year’s fair is the 64th since the beginning and will take
place 20-27 September at the Deutsche Messe in Hannover.
Show hours are from 9.00 a.m. until 6.00 p.m. Tickets can be
ordered online at www.iaa.de/tickets. All tickets are also available on the same terms directly at the IAA pay desks during the
fair. Information about accomodations can be found at the Hannover Marketing & Tourismus GmbH website www.hannover.de/
hotels/iaa.
The previous IAA fair in 2010, attracted the interest of more
than 240,000 visitors and involved 1,751 exhibitors from 42
