Faymonville exhibits ambition and all

Faymonville exhibits ambition and all-rounders at the IAA
On the occasion of the 65th IAA Nutzfahrzeuge (Commercial Vehicles) 2014 in Hanover, the Belgian
low loader and semi-trailer manufacturer Faymonville presents a whole series of spectacular
innovations and further developments in the open-air area (booth M49). Above all, the CombiMAX –
a unique vehicle concept that will celebrate its world trade fair premiere at the IAA.
The reactions of the customers at the product presentation were unambiguous: ‘revolutionary’,
‘phenomenal’, ‘trend-setting’ – to quote but a few. Profound technical application principles and
exemplary ambition are behind this project, which will now be presented with all its advantages at
the IAA.
The technical benefits of the CombiMAX are far-reaching, amongst othersthanks to the
uniformsteering. All steering systems can be controlled by a newly developed, universally usable
gooseneck – the unique ‘One-Neck-Technology’ by Faymonville – regardless of whether it involves
vehicles with 4 or 8-tyred pendle axles, vehicles with knucklesteering (hydraulic or air suspension), or
vehicles with independent suspension from the Twin Axle II series.
Another novelty is the association of three coupling systems which have already been around for a
long time, but as individual solutions. Regardless of whether bolt coupling, quick (dis-)connect hook
system or extension using the unique telescopic centre beam (add-on beam) – all three components
and principles are easily interlinked with one another by default on the new CombiMAX system
interface. That enables the customer to react in a flexible and project-related manner to the most
diverse transport requirements in the range between 50 and 250 tonnes, even after the purchase.
Moreover, the new system interface also enables the direct combination of vehicles with different
heights and widths.
In addition, the CombiMAX has a further ace up its sleeve – a joker axle! In the event of the axle load
being exceeded, this single-axle module can be attached quickly and without any complications to
the existing vehicle.
All of these advantages make for noticeably easier operation. It is also important to allow the
customer greater freedom in his decision-making and in his choice, and all of this with a low
investment volume – according to the principle: “Define your transport task - configure your vehicle
solution!”
Conclusion: The new CombiMAX series combines all the advantages of a modular system with the
user-friendliness of a conventional heavy load vehicle such as the MultiMAX, MegaMAX or VarioMAX
and offers the customer a more economic and variable solution for the most diverse requirements
thanks to the versatile combination possibilities.
MORE efficiency, MORE flexibility, INCREASED speed – the CombiMAX!
The MultiMAX semi low loader from Faymonville is the all-rounder for the construction industry.
Accordingly, one of these all-rounders is on show to the trade visitors at the IAA. A 4-axle MultiMAX
with hydraulically widening loading area is ready and waiting at the booth. The flexible powerhouse
for use on building site and terrain! In addition, this vehicle has integrated wheel troughs that make
it even more flexible – a genuine all-rounder!
Maximum safety, simple operation, maximum comfort and a significant gain in time when loading
and unloading – these are the convincing trump cards that distinguish the hydraulic loading area
widening of the MultiMAX. The deck can be extended smoothly and can be adapted precisely to the
width of any machine or other load. In the case of a split loading area (optional), the rear part is
separately controllable. Thanks to Faymonville’s use of highly elastic steel, the hydraulically widening
MultiMAX is only slightly heavier than its version with usual outriggers plus planks.
To put it briefly: a tailor-made solution at the push of a button.
As a further highlight, Faymonville has something new in store for the transport of precast concrete
elements. It’s the new generation of the PrefaMAX, the inloader for the transport of such elements
– the lightest in its class!
Built on 3 axles, the standard metallised PrefaMAX semi-trailer impresses with high load security and
optimal operational efficiency. The new PrefaMAX offers an additionally increased payload and
absolute safety, plus an optimised chassis with maximum stability and numerous standard extras.
Faymonville is the first on the market to receive official certification from the TÜV Rheinland,
statingthat each of the three securing elements fully secures 10 tonnes of load without additional
securing equipment (f.ex. lashing straps or chains).
Faymonville is the only full-range supplier for the concrete industry – the manufacturer has a
transport solution in its portfolio for all requirements in connection with concrete products.
A further exhibit that can be viewed at the Faymonville booth at the coming IAA is its independent
wheel suspension system, called ‘Twin Axle II’. Since its first presentation at the previous IAA show, it
has become extremely popular and well-accepted on the market.
The intensive engineering and the complex test programme of over 50,000 kilometres under
maximum load have borne fruit. The height above the chassis can be minimised to a loading height of
780 mm, which is a considerable advantage with regard to height restrictions when moving taller
loads. Furthermore, the low-maintenance design of the semi-trailer meets the highest requirements.
The low dead weight and the high payload of 12 tonnes per axle make the concept extremely
interesting for the German market. In addition, the handling and the road behaviour of the vehicles
with independent suspension prove to be simple and user-friendly.
An extensive and exemplary package of new products and further developments full of dynamics,
know-how and quality await visitors to the IAA at the Faymonville booth.
